Honestly hoping that CDL doesn’t take this role because I don’t like how the director GJM executes his movies/dramas. But I also want to point out the fact that a lot of the hate she’s getting on international platforms is unfounded. Her fanbase isn’t large enough to be able to fight against liuliangs at all, and also many of the people that were defending her during the time were passerbys. Most passerbys actually think of her pretty positively, and it’s pretty obvious if you are actually on c-platforms and aren’t active in fandoms. Much of the hate she gets on international platforms is from people translating 瓜 (rumors) to be truth. Not to mention, posts with only a few likes are not reflective of a whole fanbase. Every fanbase is pretty bad (especially on weibo nowadays). I hope people will think a little or at least research a little before they begin the hate train for someone. I also hope people will 吃瓜 rationally and not just believe what people with large platforms tell you.
