This was almost impossible to rate with a single number. Acting and chemistry? 10+/10. Zhou Keyu and Bao Shangen brought so much to these roles and were magnetic. Plotting/storyline? 5/10. I even went and read the entire webnovel after finishing the show just to see what the original writer intended with the plot, which was VERY helpful and wish the show had managed to convey the character motivations better (and do less contrived extra plotting/storyline). Regardless, these characters and moments as portrayed by these actors will stick with me.

I adore this drama. Criminally underrated.

It's truly one of the excellent dramas, so well-written, acted, put together.

I avoided it for many many months despite knowing I would like it because of the episode count... I'm now on ep 63 and DO NOT want it to end. This is absolutely one of my top 3 dramas of all time now. The writing/acting is so so good, plot points from early on reverberate late into the drama. It's a masterpiece, really.

You literally just blew my mind I didn't connect that at ALL. Wow he's good.
