Watch Love and Redemption. It's one of the best xanxia romance. it also has one of the most satisfying ending. Immortal samsara is also good, i just prefer L&R.

I think the writers divided the scripts. #1 screenwriter wrote 1- 18 eps, #2 wrote 19-28, and #3 wrote the rest. I want to know who #2 is and avoid their future dramas.

In Love and Redemption, he and Yuan Bing Yan had some good kissing scenes.

Sad when its abt the father son relationship. Happy when its the ml with fl and his cousin, amazing action scenes as expected with a Cheng Yi drama.

Hong Ye ignored the rest of Huai Zhu's dying wish, to let their son go if he doesn't want to be a soldier anymore.

1 and 2 was a sad ending, so I hope they make this a happy one

I don't think you have to. The cast list includes some of the stars in love in Pavilion, there would probably be more flashbacks. There was already a flashback of the ml's parents.

No need, but you just understand more abt Fu Gui dad. Why its more emotional seeing how much he has change from this easy going guy to strict father.

Probably the budget. All 3 of the fox spirit franchise have expensive production and big stars, and to bring them back to re-record would really be very expensive

Not really. But you can understand more what kind of person ml father is.

Love and Redemption, Mysterious Lotus Casebook, both are my top Cheng Yi dramas.
