charming rom-com

It definitely was a cute rom-com. I randomly found this through a Netflix recommendation so I didn't have any expectations going into it, but it kept me entertained.

What I'm a little disappointed in is that Song-ah was never held accountable for her actions and walked all over Hyun-seung. After the breakup, we didn't see anything about how the main leads were dealing with it; instead, we were rushed to a happy ending with Hyung-seung still being madly in love with Song-ah.

I was pleasantly surprised by the side stories, they were really well thought out.

Overall, I enjoyed the drama and recommend it to anyone who wants an easy watch rom-com.

Strong start, rushed ending.

Big Mouth begins with a strong premise and engaging suspense, but several elements weaken the overall impact of the series. The death of the female lead feels unnecessary and does not add to the storyline. Her character was portrayed as intelligent and resilient, playing a key role in moving the "operation" forward. Her death comes across as forced and seems included primarily for shock.

After the reveal of Big Mouse’s identity, the momentum of the series declines. Although the storyline remains engaging, the initial drive diminishes and the series increasingly relies on additional plot twists to maintain viewer interest.

The ending is also rushed and overly simplistic, especially given the plotlines developed throughout the series.

Disappointing

There isn't much to discuss; it would have been better as a 12-episode series. I ended up fast-forwarding through the second half just to finish it. The ending was lackluster, and many storylines were left unresolved or forgotten. The only consistent aspect was the military enlistment of the male leads. It's disappointing because I was genuinely intrigued and enjoyed the first half of the series.

Unleashing Laughter in the Legal Arena

In summary, while "Legal High" shines in its comedic elements and character growth, it stumbles in delivering a consistently captivating storyline, especially in its ending. The potential of certain character dynamics remains underexplored.

The series falls short in delivering a compelling storyline through its legal cases. Despite this, a commendable aspect is the notable growth exhibited by the lead characters throughout the series. Witnessing Jaein's evolution from a rookie lawyer to a competent lawyers adds a commendable layer of depth to the overall narrative, contributing significantly to the series' appeal.

The series maintains viewer engagement through the amusing persona of Taerim and the unfolding friendship with Jaein. However, the narrative falters in the underdeveloped and inconclusive one-sided rivalry between Taerim and Kiseok. Additionally, the underdeveloped romances, particularly the one involving Jaein and Kiseok, are disappointingly redundant and occasionally perplexing. This aspect could have benefited from more nuanced development and exploration, enhancing the overall emotional resonance of the story.

Regrettably, the series concludes on a somewhat disappointing and hurried note, undermining the buildup established in preceding episodes. The main lawsuits fail to captivate, lacking the riveting appeal seen in the smaller cases the characters tackled, resulting in an unsatisfactory ending. A more robust and satisfying conclusion to the main case could have elevated the overall viewing experience.

captivating highs and occasional lows

The entirety was just a rollercoaster, with captivating highs and occasional lows that make you contemplate skipping ahead.

Predictable ending aside, Lee Rang's fate left me wanting more. Despite his character being awful in ghe first part of the show (arguably the entirety until the last two episodes) I still felt the desire to see his character development in the end, especially after the small glimpse we've been already given. The show's strength lies in gripping narratives, but the inconsistent engagement demands effort. Despite occasional drag, its unique blend of supernatural elements and character dynamics makes it a worthwhile me experience.

Unexpectedly Good

I honestly have to give it up for Unlock My Boss...I genuinely didn't think this series would turn out to be good because I thought the story sounded silly, like you can't blame me on that part. But I gave it a go and it had me captivated, the storyline was unexpectedly good and it was actually interesting.

The only bad side about this entire series is the ending, it was rather abrupt and tho the ending was satisfying I wanted to see a little more(?) like you barely saw what happened with Min-a after Hyun-Ho got arrested and her dad returned in a PVA state and she's left only with Soojin at home — or are Insung and Seyeon still living with her? That's something I wanted to see more of and not to mention Inseong and Soyeon's romance. But I guess since the romance is just a side story it's not necessary.

Overall it's a good fantasy/thriller series and I do recommend it.
