ADG vs DG. I remember the news about this scene being used in a class as a lesson in perspective (?), and looking at the character development in TTJ, it really is... ADG looking at the world and seeing only its flaws, finds it ugly and boring, while TTJ looks at the world and finds it beautiful despite its flaws.
I recently rewatched my favorite episode 9, where TTJ tells LSS that he killed Lan'an and she punches him in the face... at that point, TTJ didn't care about everything else that Lan'an did for him, only that in the end, she betrayed him. Like it or not, she was right about him not being capable of human feelings at that time, because he's like ADG in his fixed mindset about people, that they'd inevitably betray him no matter what. LSS called him out on that, that he only sees betrayal in people and not the good that they did for him. This is now the thing that anchored TTJ to being himself, acknowledging every little good thing that was done for him (I shook my head at him thanking even his father, because I consider him like DM 😅)despite the evil influence of the devil artifacts and ADG himself. Thus, he defeated ADG, and remained himself.

When ADG suddenly takes over TTJ's hand and chokes LSS, he must have acted on that little bit of hate that TTJ has for LSS (basing on everything he said to her)

I did my preparations first before diving into the last two episodes (meaning, I ate first before watching).... 😅 okay, on with the commentary...
Yes, I know that when TTJ talked to LSS about hating her, it's a ploy to get her to hate him.... but it's a way really that I think the writers addressed the unfairness and LSS's cruelty to him that we've all been noticing. What sets my mind racing in this exchange is that LSS is confronted with the effect of her actions towards TTJ, and I like that (unlike reality) LSS doesn't give excuses for her actions like "It's for the world's good" etc etc. (God knows I'd tend to do that😅) And when she says "You're lying" to TTJ, she knows that even if he was lying, she still couldn't excuse herself for everything she did, and if he was not, she now understands that her actions really were for nothing: she didn't save him, and she brought doom to the world when she thought she was saving him.

I'm just letting the ending OST play on.... Sigh. We're down to our last episodes tomorrow, and still, the feeling is the same as when I first watched: I don't want this to end.😭End TTJ's grief, yes, but not the story....😭and not the luxury of being able to watch excellent acting from even the most hated character and the most random characters.... But yes.. some things need to come to an end, to give way to better stories..
And with that, I'm switching the channel to Queen of Tears😅😭😭😭(just started, btw, so I'm not yet into the angsty phase. =whew=)
