I’m on Ep24, and the second lead syndrome is hitting hard. Lanxiang and Scholar Han have more chemistry together than whatever solo delulu fever dream is going on in Lin Jinqi’s head.
I just finished episode 2, and was shocked to find Li Meng - whose Princess Wanning in The Double traumatized me to no end - seemingly playing the role of ML’s wife in this drama. Should I prepare to be traumatized by this woman again?
I hate that Ye Xian whipped Gu Jin Chao, otherwise I would be rooting for Ye Xian to get the girl. I love Ci Sha but his character here feels so far like a non-entity (currently watching Chapter 15). It’s similar to how he was largely absent from the first half of the novel, but I was half-hoping that whatever was shitty in the novel would be corrected in the show. Instead the show added elements that are not good (like the aforementioned whipping scene). I can only shake my head, and continue to watch for Ren Min my baby dolll baby. 🥰
FL looks so much like Kim Jiwon. So pretty (except for the makeup being like a white face with an orange outline). I enjoyed this drama so much, like I just turned my brain off and I watched until 6 in the morning.

It’s Gu Man’s cinematic universe hehe. Gu Man is the author of the webnovels these shows are based on. Feng Teng (mentioned in Shine on Me) is the ML in Boss & Me. I don’t know how Love O2O is connected in this universe as I don’t remember a lot about Love O2O.
