The walls between an almost impossible love

I remembered seeing this on Netflix the first time when I got bored during a holiday, 52 episodes for a 1 season drama? And I thought of giving it a shot, not minding if it's going to be worth it. I'M GLAD I DID SCROLLED ON NETFLIX, and this is one beautifully painful show I have come across with. I laughed, got nervous, cried, all emotions.

After seeing episodes 1-10, I just have to stop watching because there was so much hurt. When I finally had time to continue until episode 23, I was so curious how Princess Xiao Feng's life in the Eastern Palace would turn out once she lost her memories. I remembered the time she was terrified of Chengye and she would turn to Chengyin whenever she does as she feels protected.

I just felt there was lack of scenes from Chengyin and Xiao Feng that could have been or done better, because all the way 'til the end, they focused more on the Gao Revenge plot.

Overall I enjoyed, watched the director's cut and 4 extra scenes, read the novel and won't have second thoughts to re-watch. Tell you, I still live through the OST and remember the picturesque views of their life in the dessert, the grasslands, Shangjing!!! If there are other series that has the same cinematography as this show, I'd like to know. But for now let this love story linger more, as this will always have a special place in my heart to remember forever.
