Dying slowly much much better for LWY than making her loneliness get consummed by JY after she losing hope when JL gone.

I still stand with my point, throughout the shows maybe only butterfly demon who shows some cleverness on their scheme even with that, JL still outsmarted him. It just simply none or only few character on the show have better traits than JL.

That's why eps 27 onward its bothering me so much, not only JL but they dumbed down everyone just for the plot. Like I pointed out before on some of my post, how Chiwen only tell Li Jie about possibility to ressurect JL through his soul stone and somehow Li Jie didn't tell about this huge information to LWY which could give her a hope to prevent JY consummed her. Or no one bother investigate how LWY could resurrect after perished like it's not an important clue to beat JY. Imagine if JL come out with time travel idea faster instead doing the easy way like giving his own lonescale to LWY.

But hey, thanks to that sloppy writing I guess, so now we get second season 😅 GJM better give us explanation about everything.

Ji Ling as the most clever character mostly coming because through out the show he is the only one who coming with some plan or plot, one or two step ahead of other and sometimes bit manipulative.

1. As fake deity who live longer than others, at same point he could find a way to taste outside world let his inner child being free through puppet Ji Ling while at same time keep his safety at best with stay at Shilin sect most of time.
2. Xiaowei arc, its indeed puppet JL but thinking he must carried some of JL wisdom, he come out with plan to trap Xiaowei at Wei weaving workshop eventho he miscalculated, later LWY the one who get caught instead.
3. At first, they pictured JL as someone who could be a secret villain beside JY. They blurred his motived making his character more mysterious until half the show when we could see what's his real intention.
4. Behind LWY, JL have secret deal with WWY. Make sure everything under his control for more bigger plan.
5. With LWY, JL didn't trusting her from get go but slowly observed her slowly until she start gained his trust.
6. Star stone arc. As Manman he working with WZQ with some plan to stole star stone.
7. Butterfly fight. JL outsmarted the butterfly here and win the fight.
8. Saving WWY arc. JL didn't rush and try to make a deal with JY just to make sure everyone come out from there safely.
9. When Li Jie fight butterfly and come out as winner. JL didn't believe him at first and giving a test first to try lifted his long sword.
10. Hanba arc. Clearly he is the only one who come out with the plan to ended drought.
11. Final plan to kill JY coming from him.
12. Even when JL coming to the past, he already thinking selfishly how to create a world when he could live with LWY as WSG says JL probably didn't want to live in OG timeline which LWY didn't existed.

Unlike WSG who is more straightforward and direct, JL character have more layer and twisted especially when he's act as fake Chi Wen. Clearly having Bai Zhe around him help to shaped his personality over the years. JL indeed start as innocent orange fox, he eat Chi Wen lonescale without thinking much. The turning point probably after he survived from suicide attempt. Make him get more reserved, try to come out with the plan thinking ahead so he could predict what could happen next, while doing his job as fake deity.

Problem happen if its original work like VOS, where I should complaint if the ending keep bugging me. Like from what I see, Ji Ling is the most clever character in the whole series on a par with Bai Zhe. But then somehow they dumbed down him on couple last episode. Why they even made him as suicidal eventho LWY over and over sacrificing herself to save him. Ji Ling give LWY his own lonescale which is totally unnecessary since it didn't solved the main problem at all eventho it already cost his life. If I'm Ji Ling, better if I have blind LWY alive and live with me so I could protect her while try to find another solution to get rid of JY within her rather than died and let her alone drowning in sorrow after JL died increasing chance for her to get controlled by JY like what they show at eps 27.

1. LWY from the future x JL from the future are fated one
2. LWY from the past x JL from the past are fated one
3. Timeline work linear like on 'Back of the future' movie so slight change in the past could effect the future

So this is what bugging me the most. JL reborn then back being smarter again find a genius solution to killed JY, back to the past and prevent JY from put oracle stone to LWY body. Not gonna lie that's brilliant, similar plot from 'Moonlit Reunion' when ML time travel to the past taking out evil power which originally planted in young FL then transferred to young ML so in the future FL no longer having evil within her body when they meet naturally since the evil now inside ML body instead.

But then its different approach from JL, they made him took another dumb and selfish decision to taking out LWY from the past making her not existing on the timeline. They not thinking about JL from the past at all, just because someone taking out LWY from the past, JL from the past would be dying just because JL from the future selfishly taking out another LWY just because his fated one LWY from the future couldn't be saved anymore.

Imagine when that event happen, JL from the past probably just chiling at Dragon chamber then somehow he perished outta nowhere get erased from timeline because as soon as LWY from the past removed from timeline by JL from the future, it means JL from the past would no longer having the fated one LWY from the past to saving his life. JL from the future basically like spoiled kids, just because he couldn't eat his own candy because it get dirt on it, he just running to other kids stole his candy then runaway.

Just some fun thought which keep bugging me 😅 sorry if its too long atleast I let it out.

Mostly people complaint because they only start watching and get hit by tons of plot which actually as much as they goes it will explained later on next couples episode. Sometimes GJM indeed doing too much with the plot, average Cdrama mostly only have 2-3 plot or subplot going on, but VOS have like 7-8 plot at the same time, should just toned it down a bit and save some of them for their next project and give the viewer space to breathe literally. Read the comment says watching VOS like watch 8 director doing their work at once which is partially true in some part lol.

My personal issue with VOS or Cdrama in general is always at the ending. They always start so strong, give majestic bridging hooked us with the story until it reach climaxed on 2/3 whole series but somehow it struggle to give satisfying ending, either doing too much or just not doing anything at all, there's no in between. That's why my usual routine after watching Cdrama I always try to read the novel and mostly I found the answer or the ending which could satisfied my needs through the novel.

The first Cdrama who made me read the novel after that. And get mad because the novel so epic but they couldn't translate well into the drama even ruin the storyline. Still imagine JJY as Han Yunxi everytime I read Poison Genius Consort and the sequel. Wish they remake the series and give justice while pick JJY as the lead again.

From what I understood

1. WSG and other on main timeline since in this drama the time is linear so changing past mean changing the future. While for LWY x JL not so much either they are on different universe or just simply reincarnated.
2. Yeah dragon power
3. JL the fox did met YWH and transform into human with YXZ face. The change on timeline only happens after dragon flood massacres or around 50 years ago.
4. LWY not exist on main timeline in the past since JL bring her into timespace. Without LWY it means JL in the past gonna K* himself since there's no LWY as Awu doll to stopped him. That's why when Li Jie born and come to Shilin sect he never meet with Ji Ling.

How GJM fooled everyone make them think that was happy ending which is not. That's why I personally think eps 26 was the real ending for me, I wouldn't let them ruin that beautiful moment for whatever sloppy writing they have after that.

That's why I'm doing rewatch now, that bittersweet ending made Ji Chan within my body come out and its offer me if I wanna rewind the time or not lol

JL so called 'perfect plan' actually not perfect at all since they don't considering LWY body is indestructible cause oracle stone within her. So even JL plan goes as plan it still left them with JY who gonna possessed LWY at the end especially it get easier when her mentally unstable after losing JL.

Everything happens from epe 27 just sloppy writing for dumb plot and fan service sake. They need big bad fight with JY on LWY body so they lower everyone IQ from eps 27 onward lol.

1. LWY perished and resurrected but no one try investigate why its happening and move on like it's not important.
2. There's no point of JL sacrificing his life giving his lonescale to LWY after she sacrificing herself over and over again to save his life. It doesn't solved everything, LWY still alive with JY fragment within her body.
3. After JL gone, Chi Wen only tell Li Jie about possibility of JL get resurrect through his soul stone and for dumb reason, they didn't tell LWY about this huge JL information.
4. If LWY know JL could get resurrect, she will have slightly hope and gonna wait forever for his comeback and not gonna let JY takeover her body.

Made the timeline based on current ending. Not perfect but you can see the glimpses of the world without LWY, JL and WWY involvement etc. Pretty much inline with current ending and as soon as WSG have his consciousness back, they probably complete the mission faster than OG timeline.

In the show we only shown at the ending when WSG already become a dragon and have fully consciousness. Doubt he get that consciousness way early at young age or before he tapped into dragon deity power. Its not logical if he get the consciousness at such Young age.

Even if that happens, its suicide move to declare himself as 10th dragon since it make him as an easier target especially for JY or butterfly, the Shilin sect itself probably not gonna believe he is the real dragon at first. In OG timeline Xie Lingxi his master who knows WSG real origin didn't tell him about it just to protect him and let him found about it naturally. Honestly If I'm WSG when first time I get the consciousness, WWY is the first people I'm looking for, but in the ending it shows they didn't have interaction at all before.

So in my opinion WSG only get his consciousness gradually, so he still follow all of that grief and feeling like in OG storyline. Then as soon as he tapped into dragon deity power like in the OG timeline he will get his consciousness back, like when he get Chi Wen consciousness after star stone illusion arc after he got some of dragon deity power. Then after become fully dragon through hanba arc he probably fully get his consciousness back, hence he come to formless moon sect looking for WWY only at the ending.

The problem is JL actually don't need to take out LWY. Just let her grow naturally in the past under formless moon sect after the fake leader JY and oracle stone gone. And when they meet naturally at Xiaowei arc, JL just need to make LWY falling for him so the could keep the cycle of LWY became Awu doll in the past to keep JL stay alive.

With the current ending not even WWY present at Xiaowei arc or other arc since she didn't even recognize WSG. Better if they keep the story about formless moon sect hunt the traitor Xiaowei send WWY x LWY to Wei mansion so they could still meet with WSG and Ji Ling naturally to keep the storyline goes smoothly.

The different now WSG still remember the OG timeline, he also keep WWY memories on the bracelet, WSG could also keep Awu doll and JL soul stone as their memento to bring back their memories if needed or if WSG want them to learn everything naturally just let them follow the storyline while guide them from behind.
