I've been saying this forever!!!! Nothing beats this drama when it comes to the songs both OSTs and BGMs alike! Like they are just soooo beautiful!!!! And yes the visual quality is just UGHHH!!! Hard to describe. Every scene is just mesmerizing to look at! It's also even more beautiful when you know all the 8 main cast sing their own OSTs (siblings singing a duo together) + how they have a group song together too with even a dance which is so unique in dramaland!

I can't believe VoS is probably gonna air even before this drama like rlly???? Been waiting so long for this one esp after finding out Yanan was gonna be there (back in early 2024) and yet now his other drama that only finished filming this year might air before this one... they should really air this one soon 😭 I also lowkey miss Hongyi after watching him in TBOY in January 2024 so almost 2 years! They better release this asap!!!!

Another thing I really hated about this drama is that they hesitated and failed to kill Rumu's father before things started getting worse. I can't believe the writers made Rumu believe that his father was really regretting all his life decisions and the things he did to Rumu. Bc of this, Rumu and the one he loved ended up in such a tragic way. It is soooo sad!!! I'm not even gonna UGHHH... I will just say Rumu's death was the most heartbreaking yet the most unnecessary one EVER. Writers could've left it at Rumu successfully killing his father but no, they decided to give the father the one to live, not him, our precious bean! I will never forgive the writers for this!!!!

The best thing about this drama tho is the brotherhood between Fugui and Rumu. They were my favorite parts of the series. When Fugui realized that Rumu died, he couldn't keep still... the way he cried when he saw him die made me really really sad. And when he said "Rumu. I'm your Gege. Rumu. Did I come too late?" with tears in his eyes 😭😭😭😭😭 Writing this is making me cry, STOPPPP 😭😭😭😭😭😭 When he thought about how he said "Next time, I promise to be the one protecting you," like how Fugui always protected him but failed to protect him for the last time, that really broke me. Fugui regrets for not being able to protect him this time. But Rumu also didn't have the chance to fulfill his own wish of protecting his own brother :( It was rlly sad. Ngl, if they were not blood-related at all, I would be shipping them like crazy! XD Anyways the way Fugui went all out to finally kill his father to get his REVENGE!!!! It was so perfect, I LOVED ITTT!!!! I really did love it when he hurt his father in the earlier episodes too, it rlly shows us how much he has always loved him. "You don't deserve to be Rumu's father." He is right 🥺😢☹️

I really started getting bored like... I did enjoy the side couples but at some point, I started to feel... "Where is Chengyi?" It made me feel the drama is missing so much bc of his so little screentime! I don't like how they sidelined him. I started this already knowing about it. When Ep.31 came and he started rlly feeling the main character again, it made me so happy! Like finally my gosh! All the eps after that have been really good. I just didn't ship the main cp at all bc Qingtong disappointed me in a lot of ways. I could not feel their longing for each other. I'm personally glad they didn't go down the romantic route but disappointed that they were trying to "show" that there was gonna be a lot of love between them. You might think Fugui loves her but his main focus was really to save the world, not to go for "love." He may have said he wanted a free life but I feel like that saving the world is something he wanted to do too, not just bc of his father wanting him to. He cared about the world, the people...

Fugui chooses to save the world over one person. Choosing the "world" over "love." I think I like that. I know some dramas bc it is romance-based have ML sacrificing the world for the one they love. I love how this one didn't do that. I will be honest and say that I personally didn't find the "love" between them, only companionship. I srsly loved seeing bad boy / evil Fugui in the end. It was such an interesting watch!!!! I need Chengyi to do more roles like this one plzzz!!!! To be able to watch that side of him in the end made me so happy and invested!

Anyways, the reason I didn't ship the main cp is because not only what I said above... Qingtong never fulfilled her "words" to him like... she left, wanted to leave again after finding him, and still loved and thought about her obsessive brother after he died like yoooo, I don't like that AT ALL. Esp bc he is the sole reason for their separation. The writers are soooo dumb for adding a useless character like Qingcheng there. I never felt remorse for him at all. I ended up skipping and fastforwarding almost all of his scenes because of this.

Yeah I just need more of A'Li and Fang Zhou! They're my fav and I just love their relationship so much, ir was so sweet and deep and emotional 😭 Like imagine in the prequel we get to see how Tang Lici's life started in the Tianren Realm, how how grew up in the same place as Yique Yinyang, how he suffered a lot and was forced to becoming a killing tool, how he longed to escape and then when he finally did, he lost his memories and Fang Zhou finds him and that's where Zhoudi Tower comes. I need more of this 😭😭😭😭 Like a full drama!!!! This family of 4, how close were they, imagine seeing it in a full drama 🥹 I can only wish 😞

I think they showed us quite a lot considering they had to try giving us both flashbacks and present time in a 40-episode drama. Unless they did it like 'The Untamed' which... do you think it would be better that way? Where they do flashbacks first and then present time later? I like how they did it here too but I would love more. I think this drama needed more than 40 eps even tho they did so well in trying to cram the whole story in 40 eps instead of it feeling like a whole mess 😭

Were you meant to comment this under the WoF page? But also, not only do we have those two, we also have Fang Zhou and Gui Mudan! I am just hoping they are big parts of the story tho (especially Zhang Junning (Fang Zhou)) and hope Fang Zhou is a good guy here cuz I'm not gonna be used to it if he isn't after watching WoF 😭 We rlly got 3/4 of the Zhoudi Tower family here and I canNOT wait to watch this! I won't be able to get over Whispers of Fate anytime soon 😭 I'm too obsessed with that drama!!!

Still baffles me how they put Zhang Junning as a guest role when he's obviously shown more than most of the support roles and is one of the most important characters in this drama but okay 🫠 Btw I decided to request for the change. He needs to be in the top support roles lol
