Ep. 7 Trivia 🐟🐟

If you notice, Woong's parent restaurant always has banner and it changes every period of time. In episode 7 when Yeonsoo was asked out for a meal, the banner is saying "μ „μ–΄ ꡬ이 무침" aka "Grilled Mackerel". You know what? It is also referenced to korean phrase "μ§‘λ‚˜κ°„ λ©°λŠλ¦¬λ„ λŒμ•„μ˜€λŠ” μ „μ–΄" meaning "Even mackerel makes the daughter-in-law who left the house comes back" πŸ‘«πŸ» The phrase comes from story about mother in law and daughter in law, we see that they imply it on Yeonsoo & Woong's mother heartwarming interaction.

tmi : μ „μ–΄ should be a type of sardine fish, but i find "mackerel" suits more lol
also, the korean phrase has more version such as "가을 μ „μ–΄" aka word "Autumn" is added in the sentence. The banner in ep 7 also has autumn leaves design! 🍁 If you are interested about the proverb origin, it is in korean but you can read here https://h21.hani.co.kr/arti/reader/together/33184.html

p.s i hope you guys don't mind i share this kind of post from time to time. i want everyone to notice the big efforts behind staff have put into the story. πŸ₯Ί

I really enjoyed episode 1-6 of this show, however, episode 7 & 8 kind of had me on edge. I think it's because…
yeap we are half way the show and it is true it centered on woong's lens more, hopefully the upcoming episode comes from yeonsoo! and of course it will as there is still 8 ep left

personally i don't think the kiss is rushed. I have read the prequel manhwa ( where we see something we dont get in the drama yet ), and woong is quite the observant type, he watch yeonsoo from afar since the first day they met, thats how he has understanding of yeonsoo's personality, notice every little thing about her, and finally become her boy/friend with his way of action.

then in last and this week ep, we get to see him watching yeonsoo sleeping, going to her home without notice, asking her out for a meal, etc. because deep down he knows her hearts the most, that yeonsoo is also having hard time. but his way of talking is more action and he doesn't filter his words, if he does he will get too emotional like ep 6 πŸ˜‚ *want to sleep over? instead of "i want to be w you"* *grabbing hands* *kissed her* *URI IGEO MAJA? then cried*

It's funny to see NJ being hated on for literally nothing but being a woman who likes someone. We expected to…
sad that female character are often getting hated for no reason, even the most perfect one can get bashed for a little "flaw" in their nature πŸ₯² some people can tolerate w any male behavior, but not with female..

The pd and assistant pd reminds me so much of hometown cha cha cha..
at this point, i feel like the writer made him as pd in purpose πŸ˜‚ the actor kim sungcheol (jiwoong) and lee sangyi (pd from homechacha) are both long time friend since university, they know e/o for more than 10 years. seems like not coincidence to me

Exactly my thoughts!!
we have exactly same way of understanding everytime πŸ’›
while everyone else busy talking NJ as love line, i was like "couldn't wait for her to be friend w every single character especially yeonsoo" πŸ‘―β€β™€οΈ

I checked the official namu wiki and Bulgasal listed νŒνƒ€μ§€, μ•‘μ…˜, 곡포, 슀릴러 aka Fantasy, Action, Horror, Thriller as the genre. I am new on MDL so I kinda wonder if there are many drama page here that changed or added the actual drama genre?

My opinion on NJ, I see her character as both Yeonsoo & Woong combined together. NJ and Yeonsoo both have worked so hard in their job for 10 years. They both also don't have a friend. NJ and Woong on another hand almost have everything in their life, the difference is Woong has Jiwoong & Yeonsoo to share his happiness while NJ doesn't have anyone.

Watching her, I hope her arc will be more about finding true friend whether it is Yeonsoo or Woong, because that's what she needs the most, someone she can speak to as who she is ( le me hit those cyber bullies ). Also, I mention hoping her to be friend w Yeonsoo because she needs someone stronger that can defend her and Yeonsoo is a perfect one for that! They can be each other first friend πŸ˜‚

I'm not worried about her being love rival, because so far I see her as potential platonic relationship.

The place they are staying is so freaking beautiful... The cinematography of this drama is breathtaking...
Ikr!! I actually didn't expect to get nice scenery view in this drama.

🌲 Trivia : the filming location is 보령 청 보리밭 "Boryeong Green Barley Field". I haven't found the beautiful mansion set though sadly.

I'm getting so frustrated at all the comments blaming YS for everything. First we have seen most of their relationship…
Agree πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’― there are two sides to every story so in a drama like this, it is worth trying to understand both opposing perspectives of a given situation.

ahh... remember when they beat each other so hard in that secret laboratory? what a great time
i watched their interview, and it was so funny the first time they met each other was at action school far before the filming, they said hello and then proceed punching each other in a second πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I am so fed up of people blaming yeon su for the relationship failing. Like yes her communication skills are lacking…
thanks for saying this T__T I have been holding on my frustration every week reading people blaming on Yeonsoo, mention every little of her flaws, and forget her bright light. I hope they see her positive moments a lot more, especially when she had a lot more to sacrifice to stay with her bf.

Also can't wait for Yeonsoo's pov in upcoming episode!
