One of us is missing the point of this drama, i might be the one. In my opinion the FL is not a cold hearted bitch, but i can understand if others see her as one. She really likes de ML and it seems like from very early on. Once she let herself go with the flow thinking that ML is not as judgemental as his colleagues, but when he hesitated she had a reality check. Yes, she pushes him away and then she is angry. I totally get it because she trully likes him. But she knows that she better walk away. It is hard to go against your feelings and be practical at the same time. The writer is doing a fantastic job so far and the directing is great. It is so angsty just the way i like my dramas

Of course she felt comfortable dating the SML, she felt relieved, she was doing what it was expected of her, she is not in love with him or even feel lust. The SML represents the safest choice in her situation. Why? Because, once again, this drama's focus is precisely about social status and class division. If you don't believe me rewatch the first 5 minutes of episode 1. The consequences of the leads deciding to follow their hearts could be huge in the world of this drama

@OneAdjhussi Love your long responses even if I disagree with your line of thought, it means that you´re processing information hehehehe the situations that this drama presents might look simple and even mundane at first sight, but they are actually quite complicated.
These feelings and thoughts of insecurity or reality check when it comes to your own worth in society are hardly talked about honestly and openly. We just go on with our lives brushing them off diminishing their importance; superficiality, social status, sexism, ageism, racism... Fighting prejudice and avoiding labels in society is really hard to do; a very impossible task I might add... no one is extent of prejudice, we all have them. Humans judge other humans constantly for one thing or another and worst of all we let those prejudices into our hearts and judge ourselves based on how we think other people perceive us. So I totally get the FL and ML´s choices.
They are fully aware of how the people around them see them, their colleagues are quite blunt about it. He is too good for her, he has, not good, but an excellent education background, he is expected to go places, her on the other hand she has reached her potential, she won´t get a better job or better position in her work place or marry above her status. She knows that because everybody tells her so. So I´m not surprised that she wants to date the security guard. She´s actually praised for dating him, she is expected to do that. No one badmouths her, if I were in her shoes and wanted to have a comfortable work environment I would have also picked the SML, no question about it
This drama was AMAZING in the start. I would find myself looking forward to the next epi to see what So Rang is…
I feel the same way. It is still an enjoyable watch, but the crazy fun from the first 4 episodes is missing... The mood has changed. It isn't bad, just different ❣️
I'm totally loving it! Since i'm not a big fan of bubbly rom com kdramas such as What's Wrong With Secretary Kim, i'm so enjoying this slow story development with a social justice backdrop. I had a similar experience watching Something In The Rain which has become one of my top kdramas. So i can understand those that feel frustrated and don't like this series because it is not an easy watch, there's more than meets the eye. To get the full scope of the story you have to engage your brain a little and fill in the gaps

Yeah there are some strange jdramas, but this one in my opinion was just plain bad... Too politically correct for my taste. I like the characters to behave badly just like a human being hehehe. I even prefer the jdramas with strange premises with crazy intro songs

Hahahaha that 's why people went crazy when FL in love alarm chose him over Song Kang. It just never rang true. But to tell you the truth i don't mind him in this role. He is actually very fitting, he is homey, assertive and very lowkey.He provides that potential familiarity to the FL.

The meaning would've changed drastically LOL although the later metaphor would be more fitting for what's about to come 💥

Also i don't find this series boring or dragging. I'm actually interested in how this story develops and what choices our very socially disadvantaged FL makes. Will she let this potential jerk (ML) into her life and if she does what would the consequences be? If you don't find this kind of development interesting then this series is probably not for you
