Most times in dramas, as the episodes progress, it becomes less interesting but for this drama it is the opposite. The newest episodes 9 and 10 are close to perfection.

I noticed that a lot of the dresses consort Hwang keeps wearing is either gold or some sort of color that expresses her ambitions to be the next queen. Even one of her small head pieces looks like a crown ( she wore it with the gold dress) - what a joke

On the other hand, the QUEEN wears powerful colors like black. She is indeed powerful and definitely in control.

Like he is getting progressively worse with each episode. Imagine if he became king, there would be so much blood shed.

I laughed so hard when the queen dowager was faking illness and she " fainted" backwards on her bed. That woman is beyond ridiculous but she's entertaining though.

Prince simso scene was so heart breaking that I actually cried. Thankfully the issues between him and his mom were somewhat resolved. Prince simso and his mom would definitely become part of the queen's " army" due to the kindness she showed towards them. Unfortunately, simso's mom has shown consort Hwang the drawing of Prince gyeseong so thats a big bummer. Am sure she regrets revealing that secret now.

Omg!! I am so excited to know they have their own novel. I want to read it so bad but since the drama isnt that popular with international fans, I doubt it would be translated on wattpad or other sources. Thanks so much for letting me know they have their own book! 🙂

I almost dropped the drama too because of him but after the first 3 episodes he became okay to watch.

I hope his next drama project he acts grown.

Seeiw/ earth's voice can be incredibly irritating. I thought they stopped his cake, cake, cake screaming with the first few episodes but they just had to bring back that dreadful " cake" chant in the last episode ( sigh .)

Also Earth literally cried through the WHOLE last episode.
