I’m trying very hard to not let her voice bother me and just enjoy the drama but I don’t know if I’ll succeed.
She's a good actress but kinda noticed how she's more to method actress but this drama seems like she's improving & she did tried to control her voice intonation.
Such a beautiful drama. It's been a long time since I've watched a good melodrama, and this drama captures the classic style of old Korean melodramas & HK old movies in its directing, cinematography, and musical approach, really capturing the essence of mellowness. Once, melodrama was the main genre, not thriller or comedy-romance.
Directors now kinda refuse to make melodrama, since it requires super detailed emotional engagement w/o much script. Viewers have to decide who/what is right or wrong just by the eyes, the grey characters which this drama successfully captured. And an introverted charcater is also hard to potrays

His overall acting style & visuals reminded lots of Jing Bo Ran which JBR himself is a prominent cmovie actor and kinda take serious projects. JBR also such handsome voice. A good actor will need good acting voice, like you cant be a good actor without a good voice. HY vibes have more demands in Cmovies tbh.
He Yu is just damn talented actor, he literally surpasses many of my fav top male C actors. He embodies whatever ML tried to potrays. The raw emotions, vulnerability, micro expressions.
The fact the he has this "rough" appearance (not the chinese main stream handsome face) ie not the typical fair skin, the not flawless skin ie the scar makes me convinced more the director just choosed him due to his talent. This type of visuals usually u can found in Cmovies cause recent top Cdrama actors seems to be so overwhelmighly "good looking", poise, fair etc. Im rooting for his future project cause this man deserves soo much.
And the directing towards the ends, the camerawork etc reminds me a lot of good romance melo kdrama. This is such fresh air among modern C-dramas despite there being cringey parts, i.e., all the Wattpad fighting & some racing thingy.

Such a crazy good premise of zombie drama. Like seriously, the origin story, expension of the plots, acting, the effects etc are DAMN GOOD. But sadly, it was during pandemic, netflix just started to became popular so this drama didnt get enough appreciation like some kdrama with lousy plots.
Plus, this drama couldnt get enough sponsorship since they couldnt advertise products in their scenes like healthy drinks, cafes etc. So the funds kinda affected & this is high productions which need big money.
Im sorry, I need to express my opinions on this. Watching many good thriller korean dramas which seems to be their niche, this drama feels just a "like a drama" (didnt how to described this ) and tried hard to be thriller but doesnt reach the feeling. The fear, suspense, panic, emotions etc didnt deliver at all. Some case are good but overall for a thirller is not good for me. I kinda felt cringed with some acting esp when it doesnt deliver the supposed heavy emotions they need to deliver. No chemistry between the teammates, dragging scripts, not funny moments but tried hard to make it funny etc.
Overall i can say this is a good light drama for this genre so it might suitable for viewers who might not want to much heavy thirller with complex plots, character etc which I understand why it can be popular.
ep 3 and oh my, Jeon Do yeon has always this alluring, seducticve vibes without doing anything, she's just too good as an actress. It weird cause Park Hae Soo and Jeon Do Yeon gave too much chemistry. Its just damn to intensee omg they need a romance drama

Not really a forbidden love, she married him after this death, to solve a case that involves FL family and ML family. Basically the realtionship was build to uncover a case.
