Why other Wuxia drama couldn't surpass, cause this one adopts every element to the best; the morally bad character, the sorrowful ML, hate love relationship, amnesia, good ver evil, the costume, the climax of the angst, the ost & for me the best one for angst: how they make us wonder the FL real feelings vs highly obsessed ML. It's a great formula of classic melodrama like Autumn Concerto, Nice Guy, Love to Hate You, etc.
People questioned the FL, but in the end, the ML realised why she did all that and how she's a goddess bearing the burden to save the world & how EVIL the demon is. If we understand her personality and her position as a goddess, then we can understand how much she loves him. How she always sees a bigger picture of everything. She's the opposite of him, has a lot of thoughts, prefers to keep her feelings, while he is an emotionally driven character, a life full of hatred, but she was the only source of his life. Complete opposite.
