Her performance feels so natural and she has incredible on-screen charm. Her character in this is very Mary Sue, but her charisma prevents the role from being insufferable, and I don't think a lot of young actresses could pull that off. I'm really looking forward to seeing what she does in future as she refines her craft, she's already very good and I think she has enormous potential..

It's good that you admit that your experience is extremely limited. Some people wouldn't do that, and would pretend that their opinion is based on extensive watching.

I frequently agree with Avenue X, although I admit I haven't watched her for a little while because I stopped watching a lot of cdramas for precisely the things she often complains about. With the amount of capital and talent available in China, they should be making some of the best dramas in the world, but all too frequently they shaft themselves with terribly written characters in terrible lighting with terrible post production. It's just sad.

I smashed through the first 14 episodes because I got hooked so fast. I stopped watching a lot of cdramas because too often I despise the toxic way men and women are depicted, but this has really well written characters that have completely sucked me into their stories. The FL is a bit too Mary Sue for me, however the actress is really delivering with charm, which stops the character from being annoying, and makes her feel more like a person we've all met who really does seem to be multi talented and enviously good looking at the same time.

I'm so annoyed that I only just started watching this! I freaking LOVE it and powered through the first 14 episodes. It's giving me A Dream of Splendor vibes.

This has just turned into a melodrama about psychos. Can't believe there's another 6 episodes to go 🙄

What ep did you get up to? I'm getting through it by watching many scenes on x2 speed to at least make it funny.

The opening song is not too bad, and I think Evil Girl might have some potential, but those are the only nice things I can say at this point (I still have 2 eps to go, as I refuse to give Youku money to watch this garbage)

I thought his acting was awful. So over the top with the facial expressions which are much better suited to theatre when the audience can't see you close up.

I think his acting is super camp, very silent movie with the over the top facial expressions and camp style physical acting. Fine if it was 1920, but not so much for 2024.

She is hands down the best in this drama. The bar for that was set very low, but I think she's got potential. I'd like to see what she could do with a better written character.

Watching it at x2 has taken the terrible acting from camp to full gay, which is the only reason I've managed 26 episodes of this disaster.

Love Song for Illusion was god awful. I'm hoping the FL is better in this. Bit worried about the length though.

I LOVE this so far. It's been a while since I've been this hyped about a drama
