Knowing nothing about all the other shows or novels, I really like this and how it fast paced, a different story from the usual drama tropes, and while Gong Jun is stiff and expressionless there are so many other great characters (Su Changhe for example is wonderful) that his blank slate can be overlooked. Sometimes they introduce an intriguing character only to kill them in the episode.
I also appreciate just the quality of the set, costumes, and cinematagrophy - really gorgeous visually.
I love the idea of her pretending to be the older brother's widow and Ding Yuxi is usually great. But there have been too many dramas recently with the same tropes of military loss/theft of taxes/soldiers sacrificed by bad guys. Please find less cliche plots (these have all been overdone: the refugee crisis, the corrupt politician mastermind, palace intrigue, evil emperor who kills his loyal subjects, etc, etc).
This guy is so hot you should see the comments women post on Instagram about him. He is a thirst trap.
Yikes boy, you got some internal issues to deal with. You are so attracted to this man, you have to call him effeminate when he's such a muscular handsome guy. Like the call is coming from inside your house. Its okay to be bi or gay and be attracted to men without referring to them as women.
Every time I see her in a secondary role, I think, "She should be a main lead!" Absolutely beautiful and needs to have more main roles instead of the vampy or tiny guest roles.
I'm still in Ep13, and I only find him a womanizer lol. ðŸ˜
It was like Beauty is Taming the Beast and it was such an interesting storyline because she even says what is real and what is fake and we don't know except that the ending was so sad.
I've just finished. A good drama overall even if I'm a bit conflicted because I found that some parts of the drama…
At the last 10 episodes I began to skip over his scenes because it was too outrageous and I really really really hate AMNESIA plots esp for the second time. I don't really care for the ML, think he was just okay compared to others doing similar genres who really brought out emotions and depth. The pacing seems off for the last ten episodes as well and it felt like the most interesting story became the Princess one.
"In this life, I once loved someone, but he's dead to me now. Then I met someone who loved me, and now he's…
I started off liking her, then thinking she was a naive and annoying idiot, then thinking she was awesome to feeling so sorry for her. She had the best arc in the last ten episodes.
UGH I had to skip so much at the end, basically only focused on the Princess and crazy emperor storyline bc main couple story became so stupid in the last 10 episodes.
A long time ago I saw my first kdrama Sunkywunkwan Scandal and fell for him as SML (and then began my SML syndrome lol). He was so good at acting, has such a magnetic aura, would love to see him in more roles!!
LOVE seeing Yoo Ah In again on screen, he steals the scenes he is in. The actress who played Wan Seo was decent but this is the nth time she plays kind of a loser and does not look it at all (unlike the wind guy). Overall, the movie was kind of cliche with some of the fight scenes (esp villain fight) to be boring and repetitive. I think more of the team working together with their unique skills may have made sense. Love the cast, story was below average a hodge podge of like x-men and other stuff put together poorly.
The author is controversial in writing. She worte an article with the headline 'As KTL costars, will TF surpass…
I think we are in agreement, I am criticizing the writer or author for being biased in their writing of the ratings and trying to make things seem on way or the other by messing with the description of the SAME numbers so differently.
Guys are u still watching kdramas 🙂 am on Chinese dramas nowNote: Actually my comment isn't a hate comment…
I still like both Kdramas and Cdramas. I think Kdramas often have innovative or different storylines, shorter so less filler and excellent casting OR they have the same old tired tropes done to death and tank a potentially great cast and storyline with it.
Cdramas are more consistent (rarely is there anything particularly new unless you think of genre such as xianxia which no on else does), they go through fads so right now it is the "rebirth to get revenge" storylines until they jump onto the next thing that will get 20+ dramas produced. Cdramas also do historical setting so beautifully, just wish they were less tropes. Sometimes they could use fewer episodes to tighten the storylines.
I think most dissapointing is I started watching Jdramas and those have fallen to the wayside, I rarely see or hear about them and they seem less interesting - I wonder if I am missing something? Anime and manga has such innovative storylines but not the dramas?
