True there’s no shortage of cdramas! I am watching Flourished Peony rn that’s really good. Love scout unfortunately hasn’t given me butterflies yet, the only drama that managed to do this was Hidden Love 🥹

I agree, I think for now all dramas should add the Makjang tag cause it seems they all have this default setting

I am not talking about WTPR, but WTPR had a disappointing and strange ending for sure. I was more ok with the thriller/crime in WTPR though because it was advertised as such and we got this dark mysterious vibe throughout the drama. It went craycray at the end yeah, like Hong hee ju’s imaginations seemed more realistic then the Argan plot, but overall it was alright 😂

The recent drama that was very bad that I was complaining about is Summer Strike, if you haven’t watched it yet, I don’t recommend it! 😂

You’re so right, and it’s Makjang haha. Yeah it’s a weird phenomenon in kdramas, they always start so well but then derail for no reason.
I recently watched a kdrama advertised as wholesome small town romance with found family trope ect. It started off so perfectly but then it became a makjangish thriller crime drama out of no where. I got so mad for the time I wasted on it, and I felt deceived by the false advertising

There is still their shared childhood connection thingy, 2FL figuring out that she is 2FL drama, their romance actually starting and the antagonist CEO sabotaging Kang. I am at least expecting these to happen, adding the ex wife will be too many conflicts to fix in just 6 ep I fear. The pacing will be ruined and the whole fluffy vibe will go with it

I am not sure if he wouldn’t do that to someone else having a nightmare in his house. Unless it’s a man that is 😭 He Just is such a golden retriever green forest of a guy idk if he’s sometimes behaving with her out of his personal sense of duty or because he truly cares for her romantically.

What I liked for now though that kind of blurred the line is in the karaoke scene where he couldn’t stop staring at her, how he likes making her flustered, and how proud/impressed he is with her ruthless business side, oh and the recent jealousy scene. Other than these far and between differences, I want to see him less passive with her and initiate something, I want him more hands on with her. Our girl seems too shy when it comes to her crush which is cute considering their dynamic

He sure is that way, but isn’t he like this with everyone? Yes he may be somewhat more attentive with Kang, but Idk why I am not feeling any depth to it, it feels a bit superficial and platonic to me.
Maybe I am the problem here lol, but that’s my take on it for now

Yeah I get you. It’s a light unserious and cute drama, nothing exceptional though. I am enjoying the scenes when both leads are together even though I find the ML’s interest in FL not shown well yet

I completely agree, like I understand scriptwriters wanting to please the audience who are either into the damsel in distress trope or against it, and I am all for women empowerment but it’s ridiculous now. A good balance is great and realistic!

Scriptwriters can use their own critical thinking and see what would work for their story, a bit of saving from the ML would do good, cause there’s a sort of disconnect from the FL and ML I feel like, it seems as if he doesn’t care enough

Sorry I commented here thinking it was another drama lol, but I agree with you on that. This drama is very average, it’s an enjoyable cute watch but not one I am looking forward all weeklong to catch up on. What I will say may anger people, but I feel like a lot of users on mdl just follow the crowd on hyping or hating a series

Yeah be open to try new genres or styles, as long as the story is moving and interesting with great story telling and great actors, any drama can be an enjoyable watch!

My pleasure! If you want something similar to Hidden Love then watch When I Fly Towards you, it gives the same fluffy wholesome vibes. Unfortunately I haven’t found anything like Hidden Love or When I fly towards you yet, but the scriptwriter of these 2 dramas is writing a new drama that will hopefully air soon for us to enjoy.
