Love the grumpy/sunshine dynamic! They’re really cute in their scenes together

Can’t wait to see him start getting interested in her too. I feel like he’ll be the the one initiating a relationship and doing the pining while she’ll pull away despite her interest in him starting earlier

Thanks!! I can’t see it for some reason.

hahah that’s true I agree, like people outside of this platform and maybe outside of Reddit, finish the drama think a little bit about it and move on with their lives.

Us here are not ready to give this series up, it seems, we analyze each scene, give thorough reviews and bond with strangers on the internet over it. The worst on here are the haters though lol, they comment the most and most passionately for real šŸ˜‚

why do i feel like people are lowkey hating here right now
Because they had high expectations and also because conformity, even those that didn’t think it was that bad start doubting their own preferences when they see all the hate in the comments

Makjang does come with a warning label: "Prepare to abandon logic and just go with it." I think the problems arise…
I think the problem arises when the screenwriters don’t know in which direction to move the plot anymore because the story isn’t well rounded or completed and they want to keep the viewers entertained which makes them forget all about logic and consistencies.

Or, like in this case, where the drama was based on a webnovel and the producers had for some reason or another include plot points that perhaps made sense in the original story but don’t in the drama anymore

Last episode as it's most Kdramas these days was found wanting... But am not a kid that forgets the good times…
Love the way you worded it out, two bad episodes don’t cancel out the good quality of the rest of the series! It’s been a long time since a kdrama became such a sensation and it was very well deserved. Plus these two weaker episodes don’t also cancel out the hard work of the screenwriters, producers, actors and all the people that worked hard to create such an enjoyable piece of media. So the rating dropping although kind of understandable is disappointing

Yes I am going to be that bitch ā€œNovel spoiler person ā€œ but they should have included this farewell speech…
wow these lines are beautiful and are quite sentimental, I wish they added them

Yes they wrapped up the drama nicely. I don't get all the hate.
The high expectations I suppose, they can hate all they want tbh that’s their problem.

Was the ending perfect? no by any means, but for what it was it was great and the actors did an amazing job from start to end

I loved that we got a similar scene to the first episode where Hee Ju’s the news broadcast interpreter again, it made for a nice closure.

I also loved the last phone call, it had lots of parallelism to their relationship through the story. Their constant flirting at the end really made me grin like an idiot at my screen

The only things I would change in the episode is replace the argan scene with a more believable place that we saw in the drama, and completely remove the military trope, while still keeping the sunset symbolism.

I would add a wedding scene, and a scene with their children. Man I waited till the last minute after the credits hoping to get a scene with their children 🄹🤧

But it was still great, even though there were a few things I would have changed here and there in the drama, it was a very engaging and intense story. The rewatch value is also amazing for WTPR and I would definitely recommend it!

The writer was definitely high on something while making this last episode XD I laughed so hard at everything…
For real like the imaginary scenes felt more real than whatever was happening in this last episode 😭
But the scenes of our leads together were so sweet so it all worked out well in the end imo
