The plot and motivations of the characters don't make much sense (comedy doesn't excuse this) and some scenes drag on for too long. Just need to stop thinking while watching these series, maybe that'll help.
There are so many inconsistencies like how come type is okay with them flirting in public (practically holding hands at the restaurant) but doesn't want other people to know about their relationship? What about the whole social media thing? It's not hard to figure out that they're dating when people in the comments are talking about their relationship. The writing is just bad. Other things: -some scenes are so darn long for no reason -champ and 'doc' are cringe. -this much jealousy is not cute I wish this would stop for real -why did leo take off his shirt lol -that couch scene, they could have done something better with it Gonna stop here but yeah this is ridiculous.
I'm interested to see how this series will handle everything to come, including Tonhon's character development or self discovery, but you all can not say that the show's humour isn't somewhat problematic. Let's look at how the sexual assault scene was portrayed as an example. Why was there a comedic sound effect when the assaulter touched Chon? That's not funny... I'm not even going to touch on the second episode. All i'm going to say is it's obviously not a simple massage parlor.
One question - how are you so sure that the spoiled photo is the ending scene? It was never written anywhere that…
I think they think it's the ending scene because they're in front of a sunset. But since it was spoiled by a Chinese music site, it could be from an unreleased music video.
Can you educate me on this? I always thought any story with two boys in love is called bl. Is that not correct?
Exactly. The perspective matters. LGBT people (gay men specifically) didn't have control over BL before, but now I guess that's changed in a way. Though I don't know about the whole using the BL label.

It depends on who you ask but it's definitely not 'any story with two boys in love'. I don't know if when people think of BL they only think about Asian series or books, but if your definition includes Western media then BL is absolutely not "any story with two boys in love". I think BL is a category that has its own elements or rules. Generally (!) a BL is written by straight women and the audience in mind is straight women or teenage girls. Now, the lines are definitely becoming blurry and confusing with gay men directing BLs and BLs being watched by young lgbt people.
Some people may not agree with this and I don't want to create a debate or whatever but the director is openly gay and has said that this is dedicated to and represents lgbt youth. This isn't BL or at least it's not just BL. And no it has nothing to do with the quality. You can't call everything BL.
Just saw the teaser. I still believe there's going to be a happy/ open ending. The episodes are an hour long let's not jump to conclusions!! Either way I am so excited.
people writing ESSAYS about character development, as if there is any, about type makes me laugh because guys…
This is so true. It's okay to like a badly written show if you want but don't write novels on here to make it seem like this show is profound and well thought out lol
I have what you guys might call two unpopular opinion about this show. So far, I'm only at episode three and I…
1. Teh helped Oh with Bas because he wanted to become closer to Oh. Why did Oh tell Teh about his crush? Because Teh was jealous that he didn't know one of his secrets... that he wasn't his special/ closest friend. Teh was upset that Oh was choosing to be with Bas instead of him, not that he was with Bas period. Like they said to each other: "Don't give my time to anybody else." But then Oh started to realize that Teh was jealous. Didn't you see all the times he tried to see if Teh liked him romantically? (touching his leg, purposely making him jealous). Also he started doing that after he saw Teh video call Tarn....
2. I know some people don't agree with the 'breast theory', but you should look into that. I just can't imagine them doing 'it' in that scene. I knew it wasn't going to happen considering Teh has not accepted himself. I can see why some people might not understand why Oh stopped liking Bas all of a sudden, (and I agree that it should have been explained better) but you see how Teh asked Oh if he got bored with Bas? I feel like that goes back to when they were younger and Oh wasn't really passionate about anything and got bored easily until he acted in the play.
Either way, neither of them know when they started liking each other. That's youth. It makes sense to me.
