I didn’t understand what happen in ep 6. Can someone please explain to me if Nub and Gen are cousins?
It is not uncommon in Thailand and the Philippines to call their close friends parent as Auntie/Uncle. It is also a sign when you use Aunt/Uncle that means you have a close relationship with your friend's family.
While in Singapore, people use "Auntie " as a sign of respect to an older lady. Most commonly used for ladies working in the service industry.
Light and funny, but not over the top slap-stick funny. When Mob talks to himself in his head, kinda reminds me of Adachi of Cherry Magic.
"Life is like a box of chocolate. You never know what you're gonna get."
And,
"The way to a man's heart is through his stomach."
when you combine the two, you know it is magic. The two quotes, when combined, is the best description I have that makes the ending... cute? Fluffy? Sweet? I guess all of it!
Light and funny. Way more laughs than Cherry Magic. Speaking of, kinda miss Minato and good thing he is here as well. Sad part, if the number of episodes hold, this is just going to be 6 episodes.
I am laughing the same way as in the South Korea's "The Boy Next Door (2017)".
Lichen and Muren reacted after hearing that knowing that the director's sexuality and what the two are arguing about before the statement: PRICELESS!
I just notice, from the 1st batch to the 2nd to the 3rd and now the 4th, each story, setup is different. - Stay Away From Me: other than being stepbro, an ordinary guy and a budding superstar - Obsessed: second chances. - My Hero: possession - Crossing the Line: sports - Right or Wrong: Professor-Student - Trapped: Law enforcer-Criminal - Make Our Days Count: Brawn-Brain - Now this... a trope, yes, and there are countless Thai BL that has the same foundation of the relationship, basing on the synopsis. However, it is with a twist, a rom-com.
Truly, HIStory is evolving and somehow, not recycling the same setup.
First of all, thanks for Lazy Subber in pointing it out, the rooftop is the same as in HIStory3: Trapped where an hospitalized Shao Fe and Tang Yi talked.
Second, there was a moment that I was so into the scene yet the camera is all over the place. Fortunately, it lasted like 5 seconds or less, just felt like ages as I am , again, so into their emotions.
Lastly, Shi Yu once again showed his Japanese side. And that moment, gave the hint regarding the biggest mystery.
Things that can't be expressed with words should be expressed with acting, not sounds effects. I think the effects…
Making assumptions? Funny... Let me quote you, " I think the effects are supposed to be a parody of BL by exaggerating it". When you mock, make fun of a genre, it is no longer a parody, it is called spoof.
"A parody is a comical imitation of another work." Parody is specific. Tell me, what work that Lovely Writer is imitating? I would have stop if you used "comic relief", but you tagged it as parody.
We all know that this is series is about Phu and Tian, however, in this specific episode, it was able to show what is closer to their hearts, other than each other, is the Phu Pha Dao village and its people. It shows that they move and live in a bigger world and not just you and me kind of thing which is missing in trope BL series that has a uni/school setting. It is a total depature for what have GMMTV produce as far as BL genre is concern. Definitely, a breath of fresh air.
I am still wrapping my head around on how good Mix is considering this is his first main role and yet, you can go with Earth toe to toe when it comes to acting. He is truly a gem for GMMTV. But kinda sad that Nammon is no longer with GMMTV.
When it comes to Earth, I never saw him look at Mix like when he looks at Newwie and White. The vibe is different as well as the intensity. You can feel the sincerity in his stares.
And GMMTV, don't pull a HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count. Don't you ever dare.
Finally, they have their trademark.

Gay man and yet your profile says "Female"? Irony. And my profile is verified as well. Now, enough of the ad hominens.
Upon hearing the quirky sound effects you already set in your mind that the show is a parody.
For a typical parody, remove the sound effects and what we have? Nothing. Because those sounds are what make the show a show. Here, it adds flavor. What some forgets is when the analyze or criticize something, prejudice or pre-judgement are already set in their head and when that happens, objectivity loses. Here, remove the sound effects, it will be hardcore, serious toned BL, and the production team doesn't want to. Hence, they add the sfx.
You are also forgetting that Gene is a writer. Those sound effects show how imaginative his mind is. The effects are to emphasize what he is thinking or feeling. Case in point, when he swallow. How can you emphasize it with an action other than swallowing? Sound effects. The gulp sound lasted for a half a second, a second at most? Instead of Sib saying: "Cat got your tongue?" which could spend at least 2 seconds to say it.
Childish sounds? Yes. Despite Gene is already an independent adult, a child is still present in him and everytime he is rattled, it surfaces.
I always see the good in every show and movie that I watch, even "What The Duck: Final Call", i was able to see how Oreo and Strong grew, albeit not that much they still grow as actors.
Obviously, you have made up your mind about the show and there is no way of swaying you back. I leave it be. And I will reply, if you will still reply, if any of your comments reached the same or better, get more like than my very first comment of 15 as of writing.

For a gay man like myself, what Gene is hearing everytime he is in "tight spot" is what I am experiencing as well. Of course, we can't act it out because the other guy will read our actions and everything will be out in the open. It is a body's way to send a signal to the brain that you need a comeback or be on defensive or deny what was said.
I trust my assessment and critique as shown in my reviews that they are either #1 or #2. I do quality, not quantity.
If you're that annoyed and distracted, by all means, drop the series. Nobody is forcing you to watch it.
Ep 3 has more emotions than 4, however, Ep 4 is more intense, depth in emotions.
By now, it is kinda given why Mr. Loan Shark is treating Mr. Dancer that way. As the title suggest, someone is making want to dance by the dancer. We all know who is the dancer between the two. There was a monologue in mind in Ep 3 where one is saying they have similarities and why he drawn. They will help each other out.
I am starting to see the similarities among "Wish You", "To My Star" and this. One is in need to be successful/fulfilled in live. In helping him, he in turn would have the same outcome.
There was a moment that is gave me "HIStory 3: Trapped" vibe, police-criminal. Here is the creditor-debtor. But when they are the dance studio, you will realize that it is just a pigment of your imagination.
Waiting for 2 to air for the day: Premier of "We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd" and the Ep 6 of "A Tale of Thousand Stars". This is a good way to start my Friday. :D

My analysis is meritorious than yours.
