ep 27 was beautiful. though it centered about grief, it was much needed to show how mj felt. even though she was deeply hurt by her back then, she is still her mother afterall.

as much as i want to defend chen yi, i cant deny he really is a weak person. he just cant seem to understand mj and try to talk to her not even a little bit. it’s always her who initiates and try to open up and share their struggles tgt but he’s so avoidant. he loves her, yes. but he needs to love himself too. ngl it pisses me off and to me he’s just so selfless. what happened 6 years ago hasn’t unveiled yet. I HOPE it will explain in the coming episodes how and why he’d gone this “selfless” person he is now. so let’s just be patient guyss we know our parents gonna “communicate” real soon! 🥹🥹
