Kim Mu Yeol has been offered the lead role in the new SBS hard-boiled action drama "Mr. Barcode".
He is reportedly considering Mr. Barcode as his next project. Expectations are high that he will once again showcase his versatility through a new action role. The release date for Mr. Barcode has not yet been decided.
The drama will be jointly produced by Studio S and Neo Entertainment.
Gong Min Si has recently received the screenplay for “A Good House to Live In” and is positively considering it, reportedly effectively confirming her participation.
Jo Hye Won’s agency announced on the 23rd, “She will appear in tvN’s new drama Retired Agents + Management Team.”
She will play Kim Yun Gang, the eldest daughter of Kim Cheol Su. Yun Gang is a character who naturally grows distant from her father as she enters adolescence. The realistic story of a middle-aged father going through a “midlife crisis” and a teenage daughter going through adolescence clashing repeatedly is expected to add both humor and emotional resonance to the drama.
Although it was originally expected to air on MBC—since it is a remake of the 10-episode summer horror special “M”, which aired 32 years ago on MBC—it has recently been switched to the streaming platform TVING. As a result, the title “M: Reboot” can no longer be used, and the title has also been changed.
Production is handled by Big Ocean ENM, which has produced popular dramas such as “Reborn Rich” and “Our Beloved Summer.”
The series, now titled “M: Mixed Twins,” is scheduled for release within this year.
An official from the production stated, “We are taking a one-month restructuring period to enhance the completeness of the script. Since it is the rainy season, we plan to resume filming after completing the reorganization.”
Characters: Jung Ryeo Won as Heo Ji Wan, a highly skilled and deeply dedicated professor of pediatric surgery who suddenly finds herself cornered. Although widely recognized for her abilities and strong sense of duty, her blunt and uncompromising personality has earned her a reputation as the hospital's "troublemaker." After an unexpected accident forces her return to Yeonhwa University Hospital Heo Ji Wan struggles to protect both the pediatric surgery department and the future of its young patients.
Ha Yoon Kyung as Ki Eun Gyeol, a bold and spirited third-year resident at Yeonhwa University Hospital. Though she may appear rebellious, Ki is intelligent and exceptionally quick with her hands, impressing the head of surgery from her very first year. Her frequent clashes with Heo Ji Wan are expected to create an intriguing and tense dynamic.
Baek Hyun Jin as Son Sang Baek, the head of surgery at Yeonhwa University Hospital, delivering a realistic and grounded performance.
Kim Jong Soo as Lee Chang Gon, the hospital's vice director, who will help shape and heighten the drama's tension.
Kim Mu Yeol as Bae Su Wol , a professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Warm and personable, with a friendly and easygoing nature, Bae Su Wol is a fellow doctor who has known Heo Ji Wan for many years.
Netflix has denied reports that The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call Seasons 2 and 3 will begin filming in the second half of this year stating “We are positively discussing the production of a follow-up to The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, but nothing has been confirmed yet,” adding, “We will provide further information once specific details have been finalized.”
It was reported earlier that Trauma Code S2-S3 would begin filming for its second season this coming October. Season 2 would consist of eight episodes, and scripts for the first four episodes have already been completed. Plus the main cast from Season 1, including Ju Ji Hoon, Choo Young Woo, Ha Young, and Yoon Kyung Ho, would all return.
