If you spend most of your time sitting quietly in a dark room, leaving supportive comments about your favorite actors, watching anime, cartoons, and Asian dramas for hours, and filling the rest of your days with books while slowly drifting away from society, then perhaps you and I are not so different. As long as I can remember, I’ve always been someone who waits impatiently for the next project of an actor I admire, someone who loses track of time between stories, pages, and fictional worlds. I suppose this has always been one of the biggest parts of my life.

At the same time, writing stories, essays, and poems has become another way for me to exist. Since I’m not very good at expressing certain feelings out loud, I often leave my fragile thoughts between the lines of a page instead. I love trying to draw the people and moments I see as truthfully and beautifully as I can, or capturing the warmth of a smile on canvas with paint and brushes. Cooking is another quiet joy of mine; after spending an entire day in the kitchen, tired and covered in stress, seeing happiness on someone’s face after tasting something I made feels strangely comforting.

As for my personality, I’m a rather shy and gentle person. My personality type is INFP, and I cry far more easily than I’d like to admit. I have a soft spot for animals, children, and kind-hearted people. I’m especially drawn to the slow and comforting development of love stories in Korean dramas, and to the peaceful daily lives of soft and lovable anime characters.

  WATCHİNG  

When it comes to my tastes, I usually dislike cliché-filled rom-coms and office dramas. Stories where the female lead spends the entire series running away from her feelings until the very end are rarely enjoyable to me. I’m also not very fond of disguise plots or dramas where the female lead is surrounded only by male friends and eventually ends up dating one of them.

Likewise, romance mixed heavily with science fiction has never really appealed to me. I also struggle to enjoy dramas where grown adults behave immaturely — constantly shouting, fighting, and losing their temper over everything. Fantasy romances involving creatures like gumiho or nine-tailed foxes are not exactly my style either. But if you’re curious about the kinds of dramas I truly enjoy, you only need to scroll a little further down, because I talk about them in much more detail there.
