Right?? I think I agree with everything you said. I saw Santa, and I was like, "what? really??" I honestly think…
If I remember correctly, Prem was portrayed as chubby in UWMA too, wasn't he? I honestly could never see the chubbiness they were talking about, I think he's quite slender. If they were talking about the fact that he had no 'oppa abs' or defined muscle, and his stomach wasn't paper flat when he sat down, then I don't know what to say. I just see them as unhealthy and toxic standards.
I could rant for ages about this too, but it's also unhealthy for young girls and boys to see these standards about beauty. They almost completely obliterated my self confidence and self worth when I was 12-13, I have my Mother to thank for noticing that I was slipping into a rabbit hole. Mind you, I was never fat, but if you aren't pancake stomached and don't wear size 2 jeans and XXS t-shirts, you'll start thinking that you are, or that your body is somehow ugly and shameful. Terrible stuff to feed young minds.

Yeah, I thought so too. She was way cuter in UWMA (if she loves her body now though, that's great for her!) and really stuck out as my favourite female actor because she wasn't stick thin like every other one I've seen and seemed more normal. She was portrayed as fat in UWMA whereas in my opinion, she is NOT fat at all. And I live in the US, so I see a lot of fat people. There were a lot of 'jokes' about her being a pig, or eating too much in UWMA and tbh, that's the only thing I don't like about the series.
Like you said though, I guess it's just the Thai beauty standards. The top three things I see promoted by Thai influencers and actors are skincare companies, weight loss clinics, and food companies (GMMTV anyone?). She was promoting a weight loss clinic on her tiktok and I think she said she lost like 20-something kg? So if it makes her feel more confident, fantastic! I personaly think she looked better in UWMA, but at the end of the day, nobody else's opinion matters if you love yourself.
This was soo good. I really loved UWMA so this is such a nice throwback to a couple we didn't get to see enough…
I realised that too, I really loved Win's playful personality in UWMA. He seems to be playing a more serious character. I was like, "where're the smiles? where're the jokes?"
I definitely like it so far. I don't mind a few DeanPharm scenes here and there, but if they get a lot of screen time I'll definitely be skipping them (and that has the potential to bring my rating down). I mean, I watched UWMA and I know other viewers haven't, but I really don't want to see a repeat of what happened between DP in UWMA. Instead, I'd love them to focus more on Manow's romantic life.
I like the added characters and the few changes they've made. I was worried before it aired that the addition of new characters wouldn't help the story, but it does. Also, if I remember correctly, it took Win and Team a while to get close in UWMA, and here, they got freaky in the sheets really quickly! 10/10
Me when they were showing DeanPharm, "NO! No, move the cameras, we saw enough of them in UWMA! Out with the old, in with the new!"
Seriously though, they better not give Dean and Pharm a lot of screen time or my rating is probably going to go down. I need to see our Queen Sammy's relationship now.
