holy crap this drama! I wanted to wait until all the episodes were out once I realized they were releasing them slowly, but my gosh was I running home to watch the last few episodes as they released. the ML and FL had AMAZING chemistry. the intimate scenes weren’t crazy or showed too much, but also showcased the intimacy so well. also I love that the FL finally realized her worth, broke up with him, which led to a more happy ending than what we would’ve gotten otherwise. she needed to grow in confidence and security and he needed to not be a dick. that was hardest for me in this drama was her putting up with the way he talked to her. even though he cared for her in sweet ways, his words were awful. but the last few episodes where he’s taking it slow and really proving his love and being vocal about his feelings just absolutely crushed it.

siblings and kind of toxic

The psudo-siblings aspect weirded me out from the beginning. Also, throughout, it seemed like he'd be reminded of them as being together when they were younger, as playmates. I think because he knew she wasn't his sister and she ended up knowing pretty soon after he wasn't her blood brother, i can see it more like friend of the family who grew up with me vibes, but anyway...

Jin Zhao keeping himself and his injuries from her for SIX YEARS is actually insane. The only redemption in that is that he had supposedly planned a life for them together in building and running the cafe, but even still, she was unaware of that. She forgave him too quickly and there was no communication about how moving forward TOGETHER would look. Yes, she was 20 when his injury/accident happened, but she also had the right to make up her own mind, not have it made up for her. I was so annoyed that we didn't really get this fleshed out.

I'm glad it ended happy and honestly the chemistry was so good, but is she either your younger sister you're protecting or the love of your life who you want to live by your side in both easy and hard times?

such a sweet story

honestly, for such a dark premise, it really balanced out well with the main characters love story being so sweet. there wasn’t really that back and forth of feeling. ML did such a great job with golden retriever energy and he was precious. FL did such a great job being a softie at heart but keeping people at a distance behind walls (gloves). and they both did excellent at making us feel their emotions. even the FL didn’t really cry but you could FEEL her distress and sadness. the ML crying absolutely broke my heart. but their love was so sweet and she deserved someone who would cherish her despite the ghosts. and the ghosts even got to thank her which made me absolutely bawl.

toxic, plot holes, questions

so na-bi breaks up with her toxic boyfriend just to find another toxic boyfriend. I appreciated the progressive stance these writers had in writing the different love stories they did, but what the hell. why did we have to know she was in a toxic relationship if she’s just going to get caught up in a new one?

na-bi should have ended up with dohyeon 100%. he treats her so well and she has potential chemistry. even Jae-eon shows how unserious he is about na-bi bc when he’s “heartbroken” he still picks someone up from the bar. are you kidding me?

also so many plot holes and questions didn’t get answered. we have no idea why Jae-eon is so scared of commitment, we don’t know why na-bi chooses toxic men… (she even says she knows she’s going to get hurt at the end)

also who even is Seol-a?? we don’t get that answered ever. just all around hating how this ended. so many questions and no answers…

I loved Jeong-woo’s golden retriever energy. I also really appreciated the mental health aspect. it went on too long, in my opinion. I wish it had wrapped up on episode 14. also why are there SO MANY drunken scenes? unnecessary, slow, didn’t add to the plot. ///////////////////////////////////////I loved Jeong-woo’s golden retriever energy. complete 10/10

this k drama blew me away. the characters’ chemistry, the storyline, the acting. it was all fantastic honestly… the main characters chemistry was so enchanting… you could FEEL the heartbreak and love and sacrifice that the main characters felt. you want justice for everyone who’s been wronged and the storyline has such a great pace. they don’t fall in love too early, then you’re left with 6 episodes of tying up the story. there were so many plot twists to keep you guessing. and then you finish it all up with a nice bow. no loose ends that I can think of. my first 10/10 and I’ll stick by that.

relationally deep

this drama handled so many things well. lots of times I’ll watch a drama and once the couple gets together, it’s so boring wi th nothing left to the story. this drama didn’t do that at all. we don’t find out some important information until almost the end and they tied it up nicely.

also the couples in this were so well done. lazy husband of pregnant wife and unappreciative husband of long time wife are both redeemed. I appreciated how it showed these kinds of relationships. these clueless men have no idea what they’re doing wrong and we get to go through their process of realization.

also I couldn’t really get over the kids. they were such a cute addition and their tears made me cry more than anything else.
