There's nothing really that bad about it

The first time I watched this show was when I was really young. I think I watch a lot of BL dramas when I was super young and let me tell you this show was way better than TharnType on so many levels. I'll point out some things I did and didn't like about this series and believe me there a lot of positives than negatives.

STORYLINE: I was really taken back on the very first episode because it got right into a hot scene. A friend like Korn having a massive crush on his BEST friend Knock. I like what happens for them to get drunk and then get whisked away with each other. Very well executed and it gets straight to the point. There are little moments where Korn and Knock have a heart to heart moments but then are ruined by no one other than Knock's crazy girlfriend Plern. Without the crazy girlfriend you can't get any blackmail or character development. The payback towards Plern was pretty much Korn and Knock falling in love with each other. It was also interesting to see Knock had a little bit of a crush on Korn during the whole time but was too afraid to admit it until the near end. Points to Plern blackmailing Korn because Yihwa, Fai, and Farm wouldn't have intervened and helped out. Loved the plot line so much. Wish I saw more of Bright and Farm because their side story is a bit untouched but leads to a new Farm in the second season. And let me tell you Farm knows how to get revenge. Cho and Yihwa was really cute and I like how Yihwa thinks Cho is gay only because she doesn't want to accept her feelings for him.

ACTORS: The chemistry between the two male leads. Max and Tul. They had me fooled the whole time that they were a real couple when in reality they are really good friends. I could never be good friends with someone that I'm kissing and practically having sex scenes with. But that's just me. The chemistry was there with all the actors and everything seemed to fall in place with each other. They really seemed to enjoy each others company and worked very well together.

REWATCH VALUE: I would rewatch this whenever I get the chance or when there is nothing else to watch I go ahead and watch the shows I've seen before. It's not that hard to find but after LINETV isn't available I have to dig deep until I find it. This is the only show I don't skip through to get to the "good parts" because the whole thing is the good part. Just college students, that are in love with each other.

Cute for the first

This was the very first Thai BL I ever watched and it was all brand new to me. When I found this show I fell in love with the characters and the story line. Imma just say a few things about what I liked and disliked.

Storyline: To be honest, this was a good plot because you have a rich male lead and another male lead that needs the money for his school band. Phun wanted Noh to date him so that Phun’s sister could talk their dad out of Phun dating his dads friends daughter. A very supportive family if you have a sister trying to convince her dad that the guy her brother is dating is better than her dads friends daughter. There were cute moments between Phun and Noh during the series. They had a lot of deep moments like kissing and wanting to do other things to further their relationship. A cute story not going to lie and I rewatch it every once a year because it’s something I just can not come back to. Ultimately, White is my favorite actor and Captain will always be too. A couple I’ll always remember.

Earth: Okay look, I loved this kid to death but he really wouldn’t get a hint when he knew Phun had Noh wrapped around his finger. I love Nergn and his acting skills showed in the movie he starred in Water Boy. He kinda disappeared then came back out of nowhere and we never got to see if he found someone else in season 2. But he was head over heels for Noh and it showed. At first I wanted Noh to choose Earth but when I saw the chemistry between Noh and Phun I said Earth can come another day.

Side characters: There were some cute side couples but the stories didn’t really stick with me unlike the main couple did. Season 2 was a lot better when it came to Noh and Phun finally confessing their feelings but nothing else on the side characters. To be honest I was kinda mixed up with them. The one side couple I really liked was Noh’s friend Om who developed a liking into someone else. But can we talk about Jeed and how she doesn’t know when to leave an abusive relationship?? Like the man cheated on you, pushes you around but you still stay??? I’m just glad her childhood friend came back and showed her she’s worth more than a douchebag.

If Love Sick is your first ever BL I recommend this to be it because it’s cute and subtle. Nothing too serious about it but has a nice plot line and amazing chemistry when it comes to the lead couple.

retyping this review

i watched this bl drama at a very young age and the only reason why i didn’t notice anything bad happening is because it was two men kissing in front of my eyes. on youtube. in all honesty i didn’t know how bad this show was until i heard all about it on social media. so i’m going to be putting my opinions on this show about how it’s good and bad.

type’s personality: traumatic past…i get it…i really do but to be a dickhead to everyone you meet?? there’s being a jerk to having human decency. i get it caused him to not trust others but he has guy friends for christ sake so why can’t he talk to other guys about simple things? you had to have made friends somehow. for example: when he tried switching rooms with a couple people on his floor they refused because of type’s responses or resting bitch face. and he goes around questioning why people treat him that way when he’s a complete douche to most. i understand that’s why he’s homophobic, 100%. the plot was good for him because you had a gay roommate and a homophobic roommate with that. i didn’t like how type made the decision to give himself to tharn so that he didn’t have to owe him anything even though they only repaid each other with snacks. like take tharn out for a meal or something and if you had sex then i would have been a bit more relaxed. to give yourself away when there are so many other options is just crazy.

tharn and type’s relationship: don’t get me wrong these two actors have amazing chemistry and know how to get it on to cause an uproar. i liked the scene where they were watching porn on tharn’s computer for it to end up being straight porn and type was so confused like “i thought you were gay” which really made me laugh. in all honesty i would have stayed being roommates with a homophobic guy just so i could show him idc if he doesn’t like me. it’s basically anyone that i know would do if they were gay and dealing with someone who was homophobic. but did tharn really have to touch type while he wasn’t conscious?? i cant believe they put that in the series especially so early on. it would make sense if they put it deeper into the show when the bond between the two characters was more than just bickering. it wouldn’t have been molestation but a bit of teasing yk? that’s if if type wasn’t having a nightmare at that time too.

llong: wtf is wrong with this guy?? i thought we had a good friend on our hands but instead he turned out to be a crazy freak in the end. he got me at the start thinking he was a supportive friend of tharn’s who’s always been there whenever tharn was sad or happy. i really didn’t think llong liked tharn in any way but i was also confused why llong didn’t have much of a background stort and little snippets of his life just to keep thr audience from guessing he was the bad guy. but what made him really crazy is when he sent guys to rape tharn’s ex. that really shock me into thinking he was a complete psycho. i just wish there was more about him in the second season because they acted as if he never existed when he was the biggest dent in their lives. doesn’t make much sense.

tar’s story: damn, this kid has been through a lot. being sent to a hotel by llong expecting to be met with tharn but instead it was a bunch of guys who raped him. i feel for this kid and the fact he has such a baby look to him that i really set me off. i felt deeply for this kid until i found out his brother had a major crush on him. there wasn’t any clarification that if the two got together or tar rejected his brother. the scene where tar’s brother met with tharn and basically confessed his feelings about his brother should have made tharn jump into action because well…incest???? i also wished there was more about them in the second season because we are left guessing what happened to them and if tar was better than from before because tae had a lot of trouble expressing how he felt and was locked inside his head.

techno: I FREAKING LOVE THIS MAN! funny as hell character and was really the comedy relief that kept me watching. i always like the guys who are funny and clumsy but also friends with the main lead because they just have more to them. he was a supportive friend as well but didn’t have any relationships outside of his friendships but ended up dated a MAN in the second season. and boy was that a surprise to me.

tharn’s ex sun: tharn was a receiver??? and that was his wake up call to give and not receive??? i mean you get man nothing wrong with learning who you are but i couldn’t imagine younger tharn being the one to receive. i really thought sun liked tharn’s brother, thorn but no…thorn got married to a woman in the second season but sun was still stuck around.

after finally realizing what really happened in this series it wouldn’t stop me from watching it for the fifth time already. the cast was amazing and the chemistry with it all out the cherry on the cake. there were a lot of funny and hottttt moments so overall i would and wouldn’t recommend this being the first bl you’ll watch or last.

my first ever review

i don’t get why people are giving this a low rating when overall it was pretty good. it was slow but it did lead up to play and first having that chemistry everyone was talking about. i think it was a good story but wish first and play had more screen time instead of penelope ranting (though she was funny). it didn’t have any cringey moments other than when they were acting out acting then it was.

gameplay did a fantastic job at his character when the situation was uncomfortable you could see it in his expressions when he wasn’t talking. and same goes with fluke when it came to the third main lead coming in and trying to take his spot.

i don’t know why this show isn’t rated on here but if it was i would rate it PG13 because they literally (not actually literally) have intercourse. i was brought by surprise when that scene came up because i didn’t think the directors would go that far. but i’m not complaining because it just made them closer for the series they were going to star in.

another thing is i wish they cut off scenes at a certain point because sometimes they just stood or sat there in silence when they could have easily went to another scene and put more important things into the show.

the plot is something that i’ve never seen done before done in the bl series i have watched throughout these past few months. i have heard this is what they do, keep both actors together to know what they like and dislike so that they get along better on stage. not saying what happened in this show happens in real life but i think they were trying to portray what it’s like to work in the bl industry.

would i rewatch this? not entirely maybe if i have nothing else to watch i’ll start it up again like i have before with other shows.
