I'm disappointed with the last episode. The family going back to modern times will definitely happen for censorship purposes, but the episode had so many plotholes. Why did everyone except Lin Yan forget about the family? Then why is Shaoguang's potrait still there? And the Shen family went on with life as normal but somehow the dad and brother characters have improved? Feels like the scriptwriter just wanna make Lin Yan suffer and make us sad for him.
Found a gem in this mini drama, it is different from other typical mini dramas. This one has twists and turns leaving you surprised. Could have been a little longer but overall still recommended
Another less known and super underrated show with the gang from Detective Academy. Watch a bunch of smart people battle their wits against one another.
The amazing part of this gang of friends is they were put together originally, but became a super tight knit group over the few years despite each one of them having their own unique personality. As a fan following them for years, they have become like family and I love their interactions. I like the setup of this show and generally satisfied with the newer cast introduced which brought more unknowns into the gameplay.
The main game played was from the prequel episode of Who Is The Murderer show, but it was so popular that producers created an entire season of it! The newer games were not bad too but I prefer the original 森林之战 game. Hope there will be a season 2 with more variations.
Great review! I totally agree with part about pacing and unnecessary plots. Things I would change:
1) The horrendous pacing of ep27. Can't believe they just breeze past the plot like that. Showing more details would have demonstrated Ruyi's intelligence better.
2) Too many slow paced love scenes between Ruyi and Ning Yuanzhou. It is jarring to see them being lovey dovey suddenly in between all the fights and wars happening around them. Lets not forget that Ning Yuanzhou was not around for the death of his 3 buddies because he went back to find Ruyi. And when they showed a scene of him imagining all his buddies playing snow and him crying, suddenly Ruyi appears and they become lovey dovey again! This is not a romance drama so lets focus more on the plot and fight scenes please.
3) The ending was weird, why did they use Chu Yue for it? She is not even close to the entire gang! My ideal ending would have been: Wu Di does not die and leads his army to victory, becoming a better ruler and redeeming his mistakes from the previous war. Li Tongguang and Yang Ying has kids and tell them the story about the entire gang, while Chu Yue comes to visit the couple as a good friend.
