The plain and unremarkable Shang Zhitao sitting opposite him was somehow... good company for a drink. If he savored the moment, he could even detect a hint of that "boundless wind and moon"—that elusive, romantic atmosphere. That strange flicker of desire he’d felt briefly in Guangzhou seeped into his body once again

"She had one saving grace: she was excellent with office software, and her ability to write complex data formulas manually showed a very solid foundation. When she worked, her lips pressed thin, and her entire focus was on the screen; everything else ceased to exist."

Example: "His only fun was grading Zhitao’s "homework," knowing she’d get up to fix it. His terrifying need for control worked perfectly on someone like her. He suddenly felt that a compliant, simple woman like Zhitao wasn't so bad."

I've been reading the novel for 4 days, bc I can't wait for the drama release I was so curious of the novel. I can say that the novel makes me hooked and never tired of reading it! I'm wondering how they will adapt it into the drama, so I'm looking forward to it.
Personally, I think Jing Bo Ran and Sun Qian as the main leads was a brilliant choice they really suit the vibes for their characters. even reading it I was already imagining the scenes for the series.
some parts of the novel can be infuriating sometimes, but I think it's because of the dynamics of the relationship between them that makes the whole plot shine itself hahaha, makes me wonder how they will portrait it. the vibes of the novel are really sensual, intriguing, and elegant itself. I'm sure the director will do a great job portraiying them
Yumi's cells has been getting me out of my kdrama slump!!! it has been a while since a kdrama is making me excited for its ep releases, are there any dramas similar to this season?? the butterflies, the unrequited love a first, everything is so top notch 🥹❤️
even though the show is messy with all these disasters all around, even questioning myself of what is happening, I gotta say it still makes me want to finish it. I have no idea how it will end 😅 it still hooks me up even watching all the 21 episodes so far, I hope we can see more intimate interactions between the leads (and with Ling Zhi) with only 9 episodes left I hope it's enough to solve everything!
today's episode for me was really realistic, I think I would have done the same as Xi Fan, tbh is not easy to be committed into a long distance relationship, plus she had a breakup that was related to it. I totally understand her decision, but she will realize that Su Ye is a really important person to her and will be together eventually ❤️
