I must say I watched it for Kim Woobin and Park Shin Hye at first. I gotta admit it.That is not a spoiler, if you watch the first two episodes you will know that anyway. You'd know it from the synopsis too so yey.
Anyway, going back to that I was saying, the drama is a good one over all. I gave it a ten on my list because I get to it faster, but it's like a nine for me. The story was clichey-ish at some points, at some it's just too pulled off to get the 'watch one more episode' reaction (you will watch it until the last anyway).
The cast was absolutely amazing, call me biased but I think I knew like 99% of it, and those I didn't knew were the american ones. If you don't know them, it's okay, I'll tell you they're brilliant and I'll move on.
Music. Well, the music wasn't quite my type, but it was okay. I still count the engrish mistakes because of reasons (but that's what I did in English dialogues too).
If you plan to rewatch it, I promise you'll live at least half of the shaking you've been living before and, of course, you'll scream just as much at all the characters.
Again, over all I gave it a nine, since I enjoyed it and I'll probably save it so I'll watch it later.

I'm not going to tell you a story of how, when I started DH2, I wanted it so much to be just like the first, be cause DH1 had a plot and a some good actors (I'm an declared fan of Kim Soohyun). But when I looked over the cast I was like "Hmm, JJ Project, good, Ailee,Ji Yeon, I know her, good but... how are the rest?"Running again through the cast I was PSY which made me go like "What episode? When? Gotta watch that". However, the actors that I wanted to make the story were only cameos. When I wanted to watch Dream High 2 I expected that the DH1 story would continue, only that Song Sam Dong would be a teacher there,a s he comes back from a K tour and he makes another student really good, as he/she falls in love with somebody, blah blah blah, but the story is mostly about how Sam Dong and Hye Mi are going up and down in their relationship and how Jin Guk tries to win her again. Anyways, a continued thing of Dream High 1.
Nope, it wasn't like that and it broke my doki doki kokoro. Anyhow, I said I should give it a try.
At a first watch the story was poor, or, at least, that is my opinion. It was full of cliches, and if it wasn't for my best friend, I would give it a one until now. But she said that it's normal. Ok, took her out, and I didn't cut 0,5 for each cliche I saw/heard/stuff. However, Shin Hae Sung being in a music high school when she's lacking any skill was odd. There would be a lot of other cliches, but I'm going to keep them for me, as they would be spoilers. So, for the story line and other stuff, 3. Lots of cliches that could have been turned into something nice.
Next, the acting. Well, I had no problem with that, it was quite ok, I have a problem with Ailee's face, that is mostly the same everywhere, and that each time I was Hyorin she was just smiling like a dummy. This and the misspronounced English, oh, also Si woo's epic style "same hot face allover" made me gave it a 7. But, keeping in mind that I don't give more than a 8 for acting, it's really well. (I gave Jaejoong an 6, and he's my ultimate so ...)
Next, the OST. Well, it's not Dream High 1 brilliant, but it's not bad either. I grew to like it, then to wake up in the middle of the day saying "I want to listen to this" which, in the end, made me give it a 10. Nit Outstanding, as in Dream High 1, for which I have a crush right now. I mean, Soohyun is not even a singer and his songs. Holy cow! But, for their way of growing into you, a ten.
I didn't rewatch it completely, but I ran though my screen caps (Jb's cute butt sdkjfaksjdfk) and got to the conclusion that I couldn't watch it again. But, as I can't watch many other dramas again, I gave it a five. It's a stan I have. Let's just say that all the feelings this drama gives me make me wanna throw it away. However, I have a DVD with that just to make sure that I don't loose it.
So, the final rating is 6,25 , aka 6. It's not bad for a drama that killed all my hopes from the first episode. Also, don't bother about that "2" after Dream High. Except for some flash backs JYP has (I don't know his character's name, he is JYP for me) there is no connection to Dream High 1.
I hope this was useful. Also, I recommend you to watch this drama, if not for the OST/cast, just to notice how characters can grow.
