Seeing Gang Chan and his right-hand completely plummets is sooo satisfying 😂
The serious plot is starting now, i personally like that the lore goes deeper, but the "spy dad rescuing her daughter" hype persona is going to wear off real quick, i hope the rating and perception will still be as high for upcoming seasons continuation
So let me get this straight, Kang Guk Cheol and his crew can't even win against Gang Chan's right-hand man, and…
the mole cricket is just not him and a comedic plot device🤣 if anything, he's just someone doing his job and shares the same mud & blood with the trio
And I'm so disappointed in this sk organization! Like wdym u want to use Minji as a hostage to get her dad??
entertainment secret agency 101, they'd narrate entire government overthrow so some shady CIA director can fulfill their goal, kidnapping a top 1 north korea fugitive's daughter as bait is the least violent possible
being So Ji-Sub watcher from his master sun / ghost (phantom) days and a fan of action-spy genre, this is totally out of the world and the weekly wait is killing me T_T
Seo In Guk's acting range is insane, completely fresh character and natural acting in this one. Can't wait for him to get more jealous and contested for Ji Yun lol
0 emotional depth, ML can’t act and FL was cute until they started dating, absolute waste of time
yeah the male leads are pretty weak in this series
Ahn Hyo Seop potrayed good natural romcom acting in Business Proposal, but he just have flat emotions in this one due to his "dark past"
Kim Bum, well, does his character even add value to the story? everything about him is just plot device. Wasted talent, he has amazing range on Law School, Ghost Doctor, BOF. in here, he's just there to add love triangle threat that has 0 value
this is one of kdrama where i want to see more of the side characters, they're so fun to watch lolol too bad it ended, will miss the dukpeong village dynamics T_T
though i have to say, in the end its a popcorn watch, the writer just fast-forward and throw away the plot like that
Or that he auditioned and impressed the production?
i dont really bother with it or know much about the casting process.
but a new actor with literally only 1 previous series as supporting role, to *Lead* a series with co-actors who are well-known & legends is just weird.
i just hope for the best, probably the casting directors saw something we don't. and to top with OP's comment, yeah his role in Bitch x Rich 2 isn't something special, just high school kid basic, his character is only relevant due to the previous male lead - which is his older brother - went study abroad in the first season ending and he symbolically took over for the absence (there's more to that, but you get the point)
the addition of the fl change and including the romance element in the shows season 2 already means there going…
knowing they planned season 2 from season 1 ending, creative differences probably happened. right now it just seem like Park Ji Hyun's character reset and retelling the "enemy-to-lover" story
idc much about the current story mix (still 4 episodes to go) i clearly didn't expect Boys Over Flower and Business Proposal making a cameo, OST so iconic it blends well with the romcom scenes 🤣
we can have Mu Won (the co-CEO) have some Vincenzo moment with Ae Ra
the idea of cursed mystery app is redundant but it was actually fun. if season 2 is happening, things are going to full shamanism i think? im not sure if that'd be a good continuation? one of the biggest hook of the series is modern highschool horror/thriller setting like Night Has Come, All of Us Are Dead, and so on
Recently rewatched S1 and gotta admit that the FL change is disappointing as ever, i really like the main cast as is. But knowing it'd be a different character, i guess its somewhat a relief rather than a same-character-recast
but Park Ji-Hyun (and her character) has been really the face of the team and integral to I-Soo's character development T_T having different character entirely to replace her team leader role feels like a workaround from original S2 storyline and not due to "scheduling conflicts", i hope the story and new dynamics can keep up
this island arc actually has a big scale, but it felt too linear and least favorite for me this season. the final 2 episodes looks more interesting significantly, hopefully it'll be done great and set a hype continuation if they ever make another season - i dont think they're planning to end on season 3?
I was hoping the season 2 tease would be the ultimate case this season, but seems just another weekly villains until the end. I like they're introducing different areas each case but imho none are close to the Bishop's organization plot (the scale, the betrayal, the rivalry between Do Gi & Ha Jun, the emotional closure - it was really good), i hope the rest of the episodes are thrilling and have surprises, not just punishing bad guys popcorn watch

I was waiting for Kim vs Gang Chan/the head security guy, i guess that's reserved for season finale T_T
try ragebait So Ji-Sub again and find out 5 minutes later if you'll still have all your 5 senses
THE DOPAMINE SURGE IS SO REAL
