i'm going to trust you because i've never been interested in seeing his other bls (if you want to recommend his best work, i'd appreciate it 🙏🏻), so i was just basing my opinion on the ones i've seen. but in this one i don't believe he's a morally gray character
the script is so bad and you can tell just by comparing it to the other airing bl w a similar vibe (aka jack & joker). i think the big problem (apart from the bad script) is that gmmtv doesn't have courage to make stories w morally gray protagonists, even when the plot requires it.
anyway, it's sad that the ohmleng's first bl is like this, because it's undeniable that they're the only good thing that came out of this
THE PERFORMANCES IN THIS EPISODE WERE INSANE!!!!! I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST ONE BUT HERE WE GO
1) cravity (while i'm watching this performance, i felt the same way as when i saw eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. it was like watching a tragedy movie, but in a good way. and i really liked how minhee and taeyoung stood out but didn't overshadow the rest of members) 2) 8turn (the storytelling was incredible, they knew how to use stage very well and you could feel their desperation to not be in last place again) 3) the new six (i loved the contrast between this performance and 8turn's, this one was so simple and delicate! i already love this song, but when they sampled swan lake i went crazy because it's my favorite classical song!!! the ending was amazing, it seems like they wanted to represent the anger after the breakup's sadness) 4) younite (in the moment that curtains opened and jazz started, i knew they were going to rock the stage. AND FINALLY SOME CUTE MUSIC ON THIS SHOW, I'M CRYING 😭😭😭)
i really enjoyed all the performances, i hope next week's performances are as good as these!
even w mistakes, i think thecrewone did a good job! i can see that they took inspiration from reveal (catching fire) performance from last season. honestly, i didn't like oneus' performance that much, i feel like they could have done something sooo much bigger. and CRAVITY!!!!! their performance was a great surprise, i'm glad they finally got to show how talented they are!!! they made the best performance of this episode
⇀ stray kids match ⁎ the new six: I'M TRYING NOT TO BE BIASED, BUT IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!! THEY CHOSE ONE OF THE BEST BSIDES OF STRAY KIDS AND DID A MAGNIFICENT PERFORMANCE. it's definitely in my hall of favorite performances of kingdom/queendom saga 😭😭😭
⁎ tempest: intro was amazing, i loved the frankestein lab vibe they brought. but i'm not gonna lie, i felt like the rest of the performance was so-so (except for the high note part, that was a highlight). i wish they had chosen miroh, because it's the bright concepts that really make them stand out. AND WHY DIDN'T THEY PUT EUIWOONG ON RAP CHARGE? HE WOULD HAD ROCKED
for me, the new six made a better perfomance in this match
⇀ enhypen match ⁎ 8turn: ah, rebellion's concept... it reminds me of good times in kpop. btw, future perfect is the only enhypen title i can't stand, but i found myself dancing along w them, so i think they did a good job
⁎ younite: their live vocals aren't thaaaaat good (w exceptions) but, man, the performance... i'm speechless. eunsang, sweet, you did so well 🙂↕️

1. tnx junhyeok (until it came to his performance, i really believed it would just be dance performances. it was a relief to see at least ONE person step up to the mic and show they can sing. the song choice was perfect too!) 2. 8turn myungho 3. tempest hanbin 4. oneus hwanwoong 5. crewone jimin 6. younite dew 7. cravity hyeongjun
i didn't think any of the performances were bad. i feel that hyeongjun was disadvantaged by the order of the performance, as his performance came after some very good ones, which is why seemed so-so
team's perfomance:
