"talking to her ex" wasnt what bothered people. it was the unnecessary subplot. after watching ep 8 i still can't fathom the relation that particular subplot had with the whole story. han beom woo was a bad guy yes, he's on the path to redemption as you can clearly see, but that doesn't erase the evil he's done. i felt so bad for the restaurant owner too. so this isn't about whether the ML is good or evil- that's just the plot- what bothered people was the unnecessary digression
