I was already feeling weird about this drama cause of the obvious.I haven't watched PA so idc about the differences,…
It's not that Pursuit of Jade raised the bar. It's that this series, supposedly a season 2 of Princess Agents, lowered the bar too much compared to PA itself. So, it's own undoing. When there a season 2 of any series, it's quite obvious that everyone will compare, except who did not watch season 1. Just look at Joy of Life, a top series and when season 2 came, it was compared against season 1, like any other series. So, yeah, it bombed itself. Did not even need Pursuit of Jade for that.
I had a hard time watching one episode πͺ. Disappointed in the acting and production. But I will give the story…
Not just Zhao Li Ying. Lin Geng Xin also, and this boy the production put to play his character is a joke compared to him. I wasn't expecting the same, but at least something closer.
Started watching the 1st episode and Han Solo's "I have a bad feeling about this" came to mind. It was indeed a very tall order and it's unfair to even try to compare what this season 2 may become to season 1. Therefore, I'll treat this as a different story that has nothing to do with season 1. Expecting even a faint semblance was asking for too much. π
This one was bad. I've seen much worse but it does not exempt this series' bad acting, boring script and left-to-be-desired production. In a few years this series' actors should perform better.
This series is entertaining. However, after watching others like Ever Night, Guardians of the Dafeng, Pursuit of Jade, and similar, it's very difficult to give this one a similar rate. Neverthless, it's a good watch.
For me this was an average series. It started well, then became really boring, and finally improved near the end. Some scenes were hard to go through whereas others were funny and well written. So, in a nutshell, watching the first three pr four episodes, then the last three gives a good gist of the whole story. The acting was all over the place, with some good and others barely passable. 7/10 is a generous rating.
watched it 7-8 years ago. but i dont remember how it ended anymore???
FL realized it was the ML who really loved her. 2ML betrayed her and shot ML in a frozen lake. FL got into "berzerk mode". The final scene did not show what happened later (i.e. if ML died and what FL did).
It appears that the "battlefield" ratings became even bloodier than the real war ones. We can see how fan clubs rage battles that even go as low as attacking the actors' personal lives if that makes their ratings dive. It's really sad, but it is what it is. When an actor exposes him/herself to public life, it comes with the job. For me, this was an excellent drama, the actors and production did a phenomenal job and the rest is just noise. Pretty much the old saying "the dogs bark but the caravan goes on". π
For anyone wondering, this is a direct continuation from where Princess Agents ended. To avoid more spoilers,…
So, the scenes showing scenes replicating season 1's are like recaps? Hopefully there won't be many. Trying to make the new actors perform like the original ones will be a very tall order.
Just noticed that the FL actress just turned 18--will this affect the romance? Does anyone know?
I did not know that. If the case, they will not be able to improve the Princess Agents' bathtub scene. Pursuit of Jade went up several notches with its bathtub scene. π
The end was a bit chaotic, mostly with all the royal family in the FL's country dying and the ML casually saying…
Humm... not sure. That emperor was batshit crazy and, despite genuinely loving the sister, he had to go. Either going to war and dying there or killed by the half brother, he had to go. He murdered people for nothing and had no governance skills.
I think the cinematography or lighting angles, I give it a full 10, but the storyline, for me, if you compare…
Same for me. Nirvana in Fire season 1 and Joy of Life season 1 are a solid 10 for me. Things get hazy when I consider season 2 of both series. In that case, they all are a match for me 9/10).
Do I have to watch princess agents to understand this drama?
Based on the trailers and other info so far, it's feeling like a remake. If so, you do not need to watch that series. However, it was an excellent series with excellent actors and production. Therefore, you might enjoy it.
