I used to think the genre didn't get any better than Not Me or KinnPorsche, but now I have to change my mind. This was the most beautiful story, masterfully told, with wonderful performances by almost all of the actors. And Harit is as beautiful a man as I've ever seen.
Given my top three BL named above, but can anyone tell me where I should look next? I would appreciate the advice!
It must've been.... interesting, for technical reasons, for Jett and Charn to go from lesbian lovers in their past lives to gay male lovers in this one, but they both seem pretty darn happy about it!
The ending is too rush. Too many loopholes and unsolved questions. (Spoilers ahead). Don't read below if you plan…
I feel like the plotholes may be more due to poor editing than poor writing, but I guess I'll never know. I'm choosing to ignore the inconsistencies and instead focusing on the amazing performances, story line and visual effects. The supernatural elements were handled do deftly!
I Have never been tormented like this before. What a train wreck. But, as with a train wreck, I couldn't look away. I do have two nice things to say though. 1. Pavel's acting is amazing. He is surely destined for greatness. 2. The last 10 minutes are really good. A satisfying resolution to a pretty stupid story. Although having Winner in attendance at the wedding? Ridiculous! They might as well have thrown. him the bouquet! HE WAS A VILLAIN. Being used by a master criminal doesn't absolve you of your crimes. Finally, I don't like universes with no significant female characters. Just doesn't work for me.
My first Omegaverse story. In sum, I don't like the concept. Charlie calling Babe mama almost made me puke, and I find the concept of men having babies ridiculous.
Having said all that, Pavel's acting is just fantastic! I really loved seeing him shine.
The story was MUCH better written than the average BL!
My body count is currently at 80. I'll go look at some of my ratings and give you a better answer later. And a few plot holes aren't really astonishing given the budget and time allotted, don't you thinK?
If you don't like this show, I don't want to hear about it. Best BL in years? I love all my boys. I'm glad Bison and Kant got to see the northern lights... and that "Mom" is DEAD!
@MimiTheReaper got it right in every detail. If you can watch that last episode and still say "It's just a bromance", you need to take a literature class. Coded language is a real thing.
By the way, I would have loved this story if it HAD been a bromance, but it clearly was NOT. And I don't understand GMMTV's insistence to the contrary.
Just binged this and wow, Joong and Dunk have Chemistry with a capital C. I genuinely really enjoyed this series.…
Agree. And Nita's character was well-integrated. I really liked this series and its focus on the importance of healthy relationships. I will miss all the characters. Wish there had been time for mere than the bar scene for our maligned bartender at the end, but at least things were going to get better for him/them.
