I remember the time when I was in my very lowest state of mind and decided to binge-watch this drama, and the next thing I knew, I was completely healed. If I were to replace 'miracle' with a K-drama, this would be it. They made me feel like I'd lived with them my whole life, and when I had to say goodbye to Ssangmundong, I cried my heart and eyes out, for real. I would love to go back in time only to be reunited with the feelings of watching this for the first time once again. Reply 1988 is my best escape and comfort, and I believe it will always remain that way.
The bar has been set much too high by Mr. Sunshine for me to fall in love with any other drama in the same genre. Perhaps my all-time favorite. They depicted the most heartbreaking loss, misery, and tragic story that I don't want to remember, but every time I watch it again, the peculiar feeling of not wanting to let go returns to me all over again. If anybody ever questioned, "What's the best drama you have ever stumbled into?", this will be my answer. A timeless masterpiece, I might say.
Gun, glory, and? Well, you name it. (Also, the OSTs are OUTSTANDING).
