At first, I was all in for the whole doctor-in-Africa vibe, but as the series rolled on, the main character's personality didn't develop as it should've. It became clear he's got a truckload of issues and struggles with the whole love thing. I was smitten seeing him smile with Ruan and their adopted kiddo. But let's be real, the writers kinda lost their way in the details. On the flip side, Ruan had some solid character growth initially – she wasn't just a naive kid anymore, and I liked how her past wounds stayed open throughout the story. Now, about that adopted son – it felt off for him to be whisked away by his bio mom out of the blue, no legal tussle or a decent chat about co-parenting. Totally unnecessary and downright heartless. I called it quits on the drama because of that move. It just didn't connect in many ways.I was vibing with the characters and the whole dramatic setup, but there's no denying there were some serious hiccups in the production and script.
