These dramas and costumes are getting more and more beautiful but the plot isn’t following , the princess royal and follow your heart had such gorgeous sets but the plot wasn’t adding up same with this one and I don’t think it’s me because the ratings aren’t the best either. I wonder what’s happening.

I also feel like nothing insanely good has come out this year? I really enjoyed the double, blossom in adversity and legend of Shenli we’re also good . The only show that had me gagged was the double. Does anyone have any recommendations with really good plots? I don’t care for pretty people anymore atp😭

I don’t hate sad endings but they already messed up the plot why couldn’t we have at least the happy ending. 7 EPISODES TO FIND A CURE AND COULDN’T. I don’t think I’m going to anticipate anymore dramas because I waited 7 MONTHS for this just for them to laugh in my face with an inconsistent plot with gorgeous people and scenery. LXY please get a really good show next year I beg 😭

I genuinely feel like she shouldn’t have been an assassin in the first place because it wasn’t consistent, even the revenge part like wtf. If it was just their story with a side of this and that then okay. I didn’t even enjoy the revenge because there was so much happening at the same time They had 7 episodes to find a cure and couldn’t 😵‍💫

aside from all that this is such a gorgeous show! cinematography is very simple but so so nice, the music as well. All actors are great, everything feels so natural and not overly done like some dramas.

Minglan is not treated that poorly in my opinion, apart from the very beginning with her mother, her grandma loves her very much so people don't offend her too much, but obviously the grandma doesn't see everything. mrs Sheng isn't a bad person imo, naturally she puts her own daughter before minglan, but she still treats her very civilly. all the other people just wanted to play mind games with minglan because they think she's docile (which she is to an extent, she doesn't turn into a lion or anything,)but she's also not silly and anticipates what's going to happen. everyone gets what they deserve when they mess with her anyway.

I thought Yaun Rou was the better option for mingkan at first, plus he was obsessed with her and better looking than Gu Tingye (imo). but the way they turned him around was so well done, he might look so simple but he's one of the most memorable male leads i've watched, good looks don't compare to charm. and it's not like he's not handsome too.

Your comment actually made me rewatch some part of story of Ming Lan, i've been laughing so hard because if how funny and cheeky Gu Tingye is! I feel like the actor is that way in real life too because his charm seems very natural. I LOVED are you the one Zhang Wanyi is one of my favourite actors since Lost you forever because his acting doesn't seem forced, he just does it so well. His comedic timing in Are you the one is perfect! and the way he took the "fake Husband" bit sooo seriously makes me laugh all the time. Are you the one doesn't have the most insane plot but it's one of my faves this year, the chemsistry is soo good, them being a couple feels so natural. Do you have any other reccomendations?
