I just watched Guardians of the Dafeng and I really find Zhou Ye and Dylan Wang look a like
This is super random and you might not agree with me but Zhou Ye and Liu Yuning look sort of alike, there's a photo where he wears female clothing the resemblance is there
Im on episode 8 but Im really bored! should I continue? Will it get better???
I love this show a lot, but I dropped it initially. You even got to ep 7 I probably dropped it at 6 lmao (I actually came here to say I'm rewatching the show again). You need to revisit your expectations, imo. The lead's relationship is very sweet and gentle, with barely any conflict; both ML and FL are extremely likeable, and I love their friend group as well! It's a really good show imo as long as you know you're not getting into some insane plot but a sweet, gentle and funny plot with positive vibes. If this isn't your type of show, then it's understandable if you don't like it.
They also explore different parts of China on a trip, and it was super fun; there's some cooking as well because the ML can cook (I don't like shows that go on and on about cooking). They don't talk extensively about the meals they make but they still touch on it, which was a nice addition imo
I just checked what happens in ep 7 and I think you should give it a bit more time please 😭
Another thing is how this show makes me feel; it's just super positive and sweet 😭
BTW, is this your first CDrama? And what shows do you like to watch so I can gauge 😭
I REALLY enjoyed the first episodes, and I wonder if this is going to be different from other reincanrantion/ time travel dramas like Story of kunning palace, the princess royal etc. When someone is trying to right the wrongs of the past, but things continue unravelling in the same way they did in the past
This wasn't on my to-watch list, but the first episode was saurrr good; I didn't skip anything. I haven't watched the actor who plays Xiao Xun, the FL's first love, but his acting was incredible
I wish commenters would stop talking about shipping the 2nd ML. Once he hit her with that crop, he was done, done,…
I personally don't think his acting was bad at all, it's some of the best acting I've seen in some time tbh, very nuanced. His character is quite restrained so he can't really do much or that would break the immersion and be out of character so he has to act a lot with his eyes. He's really good at big expressions too, he just cam't do it here with a character like Sanye. I think you probably find the character boring or his personality not your type. Which is fine to each their own.
Maybe you are a young lady so you naturally will be drawn to more exciting men 😍 we 40s women will be happy…
Sha Sha actually has an impressive resume for a 29 year old, He has done so many strong projects already, they're just not idol dramas or romance that's why. He's played so many different characters in movies. It would be weird of someone with really good acting and martial arts skilled spawned out of nowhere right? 🤣 The training he got to be able to stand where hs ie now is very intense, he can basically do fight scenes in his sleep and worked with so many veteran actors like Tony Leung and Jackie Chan. I just hope he takes another romance drama PLEASE
I've done so much research on Ci Sha over the past couple of days, and he's super talented. People are wondering why they don't see him in dramas, but that's because he does more movies; his acting range is very impressive, and you see how he adds texture to any role he plays.
What makes him really unique in my opinion is Ci Sha was in a very big movie in China called "Creation of the gods", the training all the actors got in that movie got cannot be bought with money, they had to train for months and film for over a year covering, martial arts, equestrian skills, archery, drum music, Chinese cultural history, body shaping, and film analysis, all based on the ancient "Six Skills" theory.
I watched clips, and it looked like military training. They woke up before the sun rose and trained for 12 hours a day, with restricted diets. There's a joke that there are 46 packs amongst the actors in that movie (6 packs lol). Most of them had 0 acting experience before they started.
I'm starting to think all actors should go through training before they film ATP because you can really tell the difference. It would be weird for someone with such great acting and martial arts to have spawned from nowhere 😭
In terms of personality, he seems really sweet and gentle, he can be very silly at times. He loves sports as well
I see people wanting him to be in a historical idol drama, it depends on if he wants to do it I guess, but I hope he takes one 😭
EP 37, Sha Sha is playing as the nephew's father figure, CXQ is grown, but it's still so believable; no one bats an eye or thinks he's too young to be a father. The vibe is just insane. He just has this resolute look
