I like this show, I don't have anything against it, I actually prefer slice of life stories more than "edgier" ones, I just think inflating the rating does not do it any favors. You are right that the second wave of watches would probably tank the rating but that would be partly because of bigger disappointment than it should have been. When I choose a series to watch and see a rating of 8.0 I would expect more than it is and it might affect my final rating negatively vs if I see a rating of 7.5 and know to watch it in the right mood to fully appreciate it. For me rating of 7.2 is not a low rating, it's an honest rating.

I'm on the other hand surprised it has such a high rating with the amount of boring scenes I have to fast forward every episode, it's an ok series to watch once but nothing to warrant 8.0 rating, 7.2 would be a fair rating for it.

yeah, just wait for it to finish first and then suspend disbelief of all the plot holes in the script, just enjoy the ride :) I think omegaverse part of it is actually the only thing other than BoatOat chemistry that I still enjoy in this series. With how much I rage about all the shortcomings, there is still something magnetic about it as I'm still waiting for the next episode and don't want to drop it.

if you want soft and fluffy then leave this one for later, when you are in the mood for some emotions, it's not overly dramatic but it pacts a lot of emotions in different episodes.

our disappointment has nothing to do omegaverse parts of it, those are done quite decent, our dissatisfaction stems from the dialogues, the pacing, the directing, extra scenes that should have been cut out in favor of actual story time. Personally I'm crashing down from my high expectation of original pilot.

I also thought this episode was a bit too short and that just adds to my mounting disappointment with this series . Don't know what's with preview on Phatsa, probably Nakhun asking his father-in-law for a belated approval, but as to Sangnuea and Ongsa - I think Sangnuea was aiming to seduce one of the True Alpha brothers at first but before he could act eldest already bit Phatsa and the other fell in love with Beta. He can't do anything with Nakhun anymore as he had formed a bond with omega already but Nakhin still can, so in a preview I think Sangnuea would try to use his pheromones to make Nakhin bite him.

Personally, I don't have any problem with opening credits being AI created, I skip them anyway in most series, might as well not create them at all.

just small ones, in first episode when Hui Leuk Tou arrives at the company by car and steps out of it, second episode there was a wide shot of night city with the back of their heads i think. The problem is that some ppl can't tolerate anything AI created so they entice others to boycott the series disregarding the fact that it's just several seconds of footage in 50 minute episode. The production is low budget so they had to use AI for some ambient things (unfortunately, the AI they used is also low budget). Actors are doing such a great job that those AI haters can go hate themselves instead, I'm here for the great chemistry.

it's low budget so I would venture a guess that renting expensive car just for 1 second shot was too much to ask. My gripe is that AI is also low budget, lol.

It's mostly the same, but cut into a movie, with some extra scenes in the last 10 minutes or so (not the whole 10 minutes just some extras in the last part). I didn't really like how they cut it into a movie, they cut some good scenes, so the best scenario is to watch the series and then the end of the movie for extra scenes.

I know what you mean, I've seen a lot of bl series, even those you can hardly call drama series because the plot is lost between nc scenes, but this one was so unexpectedly explicit even for me, I was shocked at first they would show so much... I so did not expect something like this in this series as I loved it even before that nc, now I love it twice as much, not for the explicitness of the scene but how close to the original manhwa it is, the feelings they portrayed are really close to original story as I read it.

I have not read many asian bl novels, good translations are hard to find and I get frustrated with the bad ones, but I second "To my shore", it has a good translation and the story is very good. "Sammy's children's day" I tried and it was not for me, I would also NOT recommend "Revenged love" original novel, it's unhinged, drama series adaptation is leaps better.

ABO Desire original novel was good as well, if you don't mind omegaverse, I actually liked it better than the series.
Khemjira novel was good if you don't mind supernatural plot, although its angsty, there are no red flags there though.

yeah, his reactions were contradictory for me, on one hand he does not know basic facts about the world he lives in (and I say it's basic knowledge because he went to a regular hospital to check his secondary gender... ) but on the other hand he is not surprised or disbelieving and he does not even ask where he can get tested, he just goes to a regular hospital for that (like automatically assumes he can be tested there...)

I can only hope that his ignorance would be explained later, like he is an orphan and grew up all alone without general education (ahahah) and it's not really general knowledge. I'm only half serious with that :)

my thought exactly, first episode is not even a proper introduction to those who's not in the know about omegaverse, and seems empty for those who already know

nah, i think that scene in his mind is supposed to show us that Phatsa's scent arouses Nakhun, it does not show his face because they have not met yet.

It started great, ended low. Can't rate it higher than 6.5/10 and that's only for the chemistry between the main CP. I don't particularly mind GL couples in BL series, but this one just did nothing for me, they just felt awkward together, and they got more interaction than main CP which is a problem in BL series, after ep02 I just skipped all their scenes. Third couple was building up to a great confession but than completely fizzled out. And that's not to mention the last episode which resolved absolutely no plot issues but left holes a car can go through, resolution was much too ridiculous to be believable even in drama series.
