It wasn't a plothole, it was Seonga's dream and she didn't know what Bongsu looked like, she only knew him in Gyeonu's form so that's why he appeared that way to her. Only the real Gyeonu saw Bongsu's memory and even then he didn't know which one of the two soldiers was Bongsu
