You reminded me of 2 things that have always seemed debatable in this mostly well-intentioned trend of "strong…
It's sad how kindness is not really properly portrayed. We have either kind but naïve and stupid FLs or arrogant FLs to show their "strong personality." People can be kind without being pushovers and can be kind by still speaking up for themselves. The quality of kindness is frowned upon by viewers because many dramas have characters (mostly FLs) whose kindness is always associated with them being naïve, stupid and/or pushovers. The characters are mostly on extremes with kindness being tied to stupidity on one end and arrogance viewed as "badass" for a strong personality on the other end. Thankfully we are getting more dramas that rather portray a mix of these qualities in FLs.
Congrats on your first article! Many comments on various platforms called Jo Yi Seo and Ko Moon Young "savage" and "badass" and that we needed more FLs like that. Worse, that they wished to be like them. That really bothered me. We need more dramas with FLs who aren't arrogant to show that they're strong and badass. Also, I didn't bother with True Beauty as I already got title-baited with the webtoon xd The original Korean title was yeoshin gangrim (the goddess' secret) which I found out after already disappointing myself with the webtoon.
She already knows him from high school ig. He said he remembers the girls who liked him when talking about her. But she said she hates him when she came back from her friend's wedding. But it'll be fun lol. Sheng Sheng likes Jia Shu but ends up with Jiang Yi. Tong Hua likes Jiang Yi but (if she) ends up with Shu Shu XD
From today (17th), the web drama 'Dwiromance', released through the YouTube channel 'Real Ending' at 8 pm every Thursday from the 17th, is a quirky and provocative secret romance, in which four theatre and film students who met at the 'Camera Acting' workshop have a complicated relationship. It deals with the story of unfolding a play of revenge while hiding the identities of each other.
Kim Jae-won takes on the role of Jeong Ma-ro, who is the male protagonist in the play and has a straightforward and sloppy side at the same time, leading the play with his striking anti-war charm. Source: koreadaily
I 100% agree, that Oh In Hyung has had some part in it! Using someone is never good. Although she was abusive,…
True. Also, I felt sad for In Hyeong about how JJ kept her around telling her he'd debut her but never did. After watching this I could kind of understand why no channel wanted to air this. The only likeable people in this drama are Joon's manager and the two makeup girls. Even the PDs are annoying. Definitely not a drama I'd recommend to someone lol.
While I agree that their relationship is toxic, I must say even Oh In Hyung plays a part in it. She never really liked JJ and dates him as a replacement for Joon and for his money. She doesn't even know what kind of person JJ is. But JJ too is toxic, overcontrolling, jealous to a damaging extent, and abusive. How Joon treated Geun Young at the starting was also disturbing. The only way out for them (Joon, In Hyung and JJ) now is to break free from each other and live independent lives. Overall, all the relationships in this drama are pretty toxic (they did give some development to Joon though.)
That was a good first episode! I was also excited about this because it's about badminton (though I also enjoyed Hot Stove League with zero knowledge of baseball, I think I might enjoy this even more as I know about badminton.) Fun first episode. Glad to see so many known faces. (Particularly Oh Na Ra <3)
Professor Kim is very suspicious. I hope she isn’t connected to the murder case. I can’t point out what makes…
My theory: the promise between Prof. Kim and Assemblyman Ko might be about LMH's son - James. Maybe she gave the bill to him in return for him to help James (study abroad, tuition fees, clear connection with LMH?). Could be the reason why James is still in touch with her and could be the reason why she gave him the bill (they never mentioned why she gave him the LMH bill).
