This is cute, that’s about as much as I can say. The tension from an unspoken (mutual?) love between Tan and Oil is so classic to BLs that I want to shrug it off, but I’m enjoying the difference in the characters. Tan’s emotional development after his mom’s passing seems like it will be heavily reliant on his connection with Oil. I hope they explore Oil’s background a little bit because so far, he just seems quiet and a little fem (which I’m glad they aren’t shying away from), and a sweetheart.
My confusion is how Sea and Tan know each other. Sea is a high school student and Tan would be in university if it wasn’t for finances. BUT anyway...
I am intrigued by this GFC school whole drama. I’m kind of confused on all the drama between the basketball club and the music club. I’m sure we will learn more. But I would be excited for a Tin/Sea story, even if it’s not romantic (but it definitely should be, LOL). The way Tin looks at Sea, it is so sweet. I’m expecting second couple syndrome if they happen.
All in all, very cute and interesting so far through the first two episodes. I hope they continue to improve and the story becomes more cohesive.
This was cute, even though Jinwon was a jerk for punching Sangha. That’s not the way to deal with emotions you’re not comfortable with having. But I’m glad that he wasn’t a sore loser and explained himself. The “I like you. I love you, Sangha” was very sweet as were the kisses.
I LOLed at their awkwardness about trying to go on a date even though they’ve slept very cuddly with each other and expressed their feelings.
Waiting for more BL from Korea. If they could have a BL explosion like the Philippines is having right now, I would keel over (happily LOL).
Really loving this so far! Many complained about the pacing saying it's too slow but for me, it's perfect! Just…
Totally agree with everything you said. I don’t feel like the emotions stemming from loss- anger, sorrow, confusion, basically anything- came across in any meaningful way, and that was sad to me because Itt’s mother is one of the reason why Pai cares so much for Itt.
On the other hand, Waan and Pure’s new friendship is lovely, albeit kind of based on a weird foundation. I’m really intrigued to see how they will handle Pure’s HIV status and his and Waan’s respective love lives.
It seems like episode 5 will be the foundation for the core development of the characters and storylines. I’m excited :)
See the rating went up to 8 after episode 8. hahahaThat love scene is something. And yes, kudos to the music!…
I noticed the rating increase, also. I think people should be a bit more forgiving for these series that are charting new waters for their country. Obviously, we shouldn’t overlook issues such as terrible writing and things like that, but some people are just being nitpicky. I personally can take the cringe moments/characters and the blatant product placement/advertisement along with the good feelings the characters portray and the decent storylines.
This is definitely the year of the Filipino BLs explosion, and I’m loving it!
The kiss scene made me feel like he was remembering. Like he was so sad because he couldsnt find him anymore so…
Yeah, the Ongsah/North kiss did seem like a memory, but I don’t know if I just missed it in all the chaos of the show’s direction, but I didn’t realize that those two had become “that” kind of close. I mean, you could tell they cared about each other, but the romantic/intimate angle seemed to have come out of nowhere. Maybe I’ll rewatch a couple episodes back and see if I can figure out what I missed or if I missed something because of the subbing issues.
OMG, I’m so mad at myself for sleeping on this series for so long. It’s been in my Plan to Watch since it started airing, but with watching like 15 other BLs, this got pushed to the side. So I decided to start watching it this morning and I’ve watched all 12 episodes that are out so far. It’s so good! I love the relationship between the friends. The show has good messages, acting, etc. I’m excited to see how it will conclude.
Cute start, but very heavy on the cringe in certain parts. It does have potential, so I’ll happily continue.
One small thing- not really a gripe, but just slightly curious. The guys are much older than I would expect for this kind of story. I’m not complaining because not everything has to be schoolboys or anything like that. But whenever I hear “boy band”, I do think on the younger side.
Side note: the beginning bromance(?) between Jamie and Josh is cute. Let’s see if it goes any further ;)
Subs were marginally better this episode (7) except for part 1/5... Also, I was confused about North and Ongsah’s kiss. Did that actually happen? The messed up subtitles really messed me up on their storyline this week. Boo Hoo...
But, but, BUT! Man, that scene in the locker room/shower with Mai and Wan was super hot! I can give this series an A+ for sexy times, lol
If they are left behind, then they are left behind. Let's wait for Manner of Death. I'm curious if they can reinvent…
Please give Gameboys a try. I felt weird watching it at first, too, because I’m not big on those video chat/FaceTiming kind of things in a show, but it grew on me. And after all the BLs that I’ve watched (although I’d like to put this in the true LGBT content for those of us who aren’t just crazed fujoshis/fudanshis or fetishists), this grew to be one of my absolute favorites. HIStory3: Trapped will probably remain as my favorite series overall, but this one is great also, but in a totally different way. I am very excited to see what the Filipinos bring to the table after this. Sure, some of the BL content they’ve put out this year has been... less than stellar, but at least it’s opening the door for more content to be realized and produced.
This and 'Mr Heart' are my favorite BL series running right now -- the ones where I'm most eager to know what…
I agree with you, although I think “Oxygen” is giving me more of that nervous, OMG romantic tension that keeps me on my toes (now that “Gameboys” is over). But this and “Mr Heart” are great. I’m excited for more to come :)
Another one in the books, but... am I the only one confused by the finale? I felt like that meme with all the question marks on my head when it was over, lol
Oh? I didn't even realize that they deleted the 1st episode. I remember the episode focusing on Des accusing Mark…
I answered my own question, lol. I clicked on the video that was still in my playlist in YouTube and it said there was a copyright claim, as I suspected. But they uploaded another episode one labeled as a “Special Cut”.
I love the show, but it seemed like a huge gap in some kind of development between episodes 6 and 7. Like, they were hinting at MAYBE admitting their feelings towards each other towards the end of episode 6, but in episode 7, it jumped right to “You look so handsome”, and “You smell good”, the outright protectiveness of Ace to the bullies if they try anything again with Sky, and all the sexual tension-laden dough kneading and so forth. I don’t know... the boys definitely have good chemistry, but their interpersonal development seems to have jumped a big step...
ANYWAY, I am SUPER excited for episode 8. It looks like some realness is going to go down and I’m ready for it.

Is it just me, or does Vladimir look like a Tay Tawan/Fiat (from Thai BLs) hybrid when he was dancing in his apartment? He is really cute!

Sorry for the rambling, but don’t be afraid!

Only seven... hundred more days to go, LOL
