It's actually quite common in Asia to sleep on a mat or a futon on the floor instead of a bed or a couch, especially…
A lot of people say that sleeping on the floor is good for your back/posture I don't think there is any empirical evidence to support this, however, from my person experience sleeping on the floor occasionally (like once a month) can actually help with lower back pain and decompress your spine. Give it a try and see how you feel, Its quite uncomfortable for a some of people but its really helpful for other folks, so its not all bad.
Just finished it. It's fluffy and cute. If you are into lighthearted, school-setting plots, this is for you. The friends group is really cute, and Tian Xi Wei is as charming as ever. If you are a fan of hers, I highly recommend it. For recent fans coming after Pursuit of Jade, please temper your expectations. This is a modern-setting romance drama about a very smart girl, so do not go in expecting something similar to POJ. The genres/scale/setting/characters/personalities are all completely different.
1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together ep ?3)is there any breakup…
1) Yes but they are still in school so romance isnt really in the books for FL, ML and SML. They are more like friends but its pretty obvious that ML and SML treat her differently. FL isn't very experienced with social interactions so she doesn't notice anything ever lol, everyone else knows tho. Even after the time skip SML didn't really try to go after FL even though it was heavily implied that he was still into her, so I would say the triangle is there on paper but really SML was never an option even in his own head it seems. 2) They reunite on episode 20-22 or around there, they start dating around episode 26 maybe 27. Sorry don't remembered exactly. 3) No break up but there is a period of 5 years where ML and FL go no contact right after high school. They are not dating, just best friends before he leaves. ML doesn't tell anyone why he left. FL is looking for him. They eventually reunite. 4) Yes, super happy for every character except SML ofc. They never get a happy ending :(
I did enjoy the show, but I did have some gripes with it that left me pretty annoyed. Personally, I didn't understand why they put Ting Ting & Qi Yan together. It was super frustrating when they introduced the restaurant owner just for her to become a plot device that puts them together. I actually quite liked her for Qi Yan; it felt like something was happening there. Ting Ting & Qi Yan were friends for like 25+ years without any change to their relationship, so what made them suddenly develop feelings for each other? I felt like that part wasn't really shown on screen. There were signs of great friendship for sure, but not romance. I found it all quite puzzling. Childhood friends do not need to become couples; they can stay as friends. Regarding Shen Fu Xuan, the guy was abroad for 5 years; it's quite strange that he was so hung up on our genius, but I guess it's customary for the poor SML to like the FL no matter the circumstances, time passed or any common sense. I find this to be the most consistent trope in C-Dramas, but what can you do? I actually really adored FL's brother as a character from high school to when he became an adult. His romance with Jin Bai was really sweet, but the sudden proposal/marrige was kind of insane. It felt like they knew they were just getting to know each other. Oh, and Jiang Yubai spying on his friends, whom he went no contact with for 5 years, was kind of weird. Sorry y'all!
Pausing ep 27 to ask a question I have meant to ask since the first time Jiang Yubai slept on the ground instead…
It's actually quite common in Asia to sleep on a mat or a futon on the floor instead of a bed or a couch, especially if you are a guest at someone else's place. In his case as well, as you pointed out, he is quite tall, so sleeping on a futon would be more comfortable.
This drama is a pretty fun watch. The humour is a bit cringe, but honestly, I prefer it that way. Even if the joke is bad/doesn't quite land, you can't help but smile. It's giving us pre-pandemic K-drama again. Big fan of both lead actors. Im Ji Yeon literally never ever disappoints; her characters are always the highlight, whether she is the lead or not. ML is finally getting lead roles. I thought he was great in When the Phone Rings. Good for him, he deserves it!
It's pretty fun to watch, though FL, SFL, and SML are pretty questionable people. The ML is almost out of place with how few personal problems/quirks he has. Actors are doing a great job tho.
Honestly, it started pretty well, but it completely lost momentum. I don't really feel like watching it anymore. The BIG reveal/fallout between them was painfully obvious, and honestly didn't feel as impactful as it should have. Love both lead actors and the supporting cast, but won't keep watching. Also, the sleepwalking/insomnia reminded me too much of the First Snow, and it was done a lot better there.
