Am I the only one who is getting heavy "You Are My Fateful Love" vibes. Is the production team the same or something? Or are they using the same filter? Leading man aside its really similar somehow, I just cant place it.

Luke really pissed me off today. The part where he realises that he is just like his dad lowkey hits home. I think a lot of us have this moment of realization when we realize that we are just like our parents whether its bad or good. The people that raise you leave a big impression on you, im glad atleast he saw what he was doing and was able to see the parallel. Is he gonna do anything about it? Im not sure anymore. He is becoming more annoying as time goes by. Flora is not perfect either but atleast some of her behaviours can be excused by her age and her situation at work. As for Luke im starting to run out of excuses for him. Calling Flora "cheap and obedient" really ticked me off. Dude was waaaay over the line.

Saw some people complaining about how explicit the show is. I get it. Its a bit over the top. We are getting like 2 scenes per episode minimum while an average modern drama would have like maybe like 4-5 in the entire run time. I definitely have mixed feeling about it but it surprisingly doesn't feel out of place. I think it fits the vibe they are going for. Its kind of going for like a sexy modern melo noire. I think the direction and cinematography (acting is a given, I wouldn't even watch if acting was bad) are genuinely quite good so ill just trust the production team and follow along with their vision.

Question: honestly my first thought was “wow how’s there such a big advertising company especially with the…
It actually makes sense for the time. Even the fact that she was able to land that role in the first place really speaks for the time this is taking place. Nowadays getting a job at major firm like this is insanely difficult and its way more competitive due to the saturated pool of applicants and young professionals. Those entry roles now hardly exist (nepotism aside).
Also there are still many large Ad agencies around even now, even in the age of AI. AI is mostly used for mock ups, brainstorming or on the execution/software side if thats involved. Final designs and Ad campaign planning are still done by humans or require human review since they are tied to large financial commitments by the client.

It's so strange to me how much I adore the character of Luke but also want to make fun of him at the same time.…
Bro is so immature, but we forgive him.

I really like one thing most about this drama is that everyone is telling him to be kind and more easy going rather…
100% the monologue was fire. I though it was a nice touch. We all do stupid things when we are younger.

Ahhh, the classic as old as time. Your girlfriend is mad at you for something you have no idea about and is asking for a break up she doesn't actually want. Luke is like the last character I though I would find relateable. Why do you guys always do this to us??? Even the making up part felt waaay to accurate lol.

Again kudos to Sun Yu for being the best bff ever. Give my girl more screen time please. She deserves some happiness too!

MLs parents bicker just like mine. Even his dad is exactly the same, always trying to give advice noone asked for/needs, then us arguing, then Mom has to mediate. This is just too relatable.

Sorry childhood friend, you had no chance. But she took it in stride and didnt trash the FL or ML or do anything weird (yet). I hope screen writers dont give her a villain ark. She seems like a genuinely nice person.

I am genuinely impressed with Flora's character. When she got the Logo wrong and was upset that Luke didnt give her any preferential treatment, but the at the same time was self aware enough to know that she would actually not want any special treatment because she did make a mistake and the punishment was fair. But at the same time she was probably hoping for something else. Its hard to put into words how delighted I was to see how human and vulnerable the FL was shown without becoming unreasonable/ridiculous in her expectations. And on top of that you slowly get to see her grow professionally and as a person, which is always a delight. I am really impressed with this series so far.

Btw her bestie Sun Yu is genuinely the nicest human being on the planet. I wish I had a friend like her. Anyone probably would.

ML is kinda one dimensional at this point, hopefully he gets some character development.

On My Bias, My Boss 10 days ago
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think they reconciled too quickly. I needed at least 2 episodes of misery minimum. Feels like they jumped into things too quickly, especially given how disastrous things at the company still were. But to be fair, it's 12 episodes, and we just introduced Ha Gi's ex/maybe first love, so the runtime is quite limited. I think it could work with 14, surprisingly for a romance-centred drama.

Also, I actually liked that the FL reflected on herself about being a sasaeng and that joining the company just to be closer to her bias is lowkey weird.

Writers, why couldn't you BRING BACK THE GHOSTS?!! Its Spooky love after all, Urghh, drama is basically over, and we just got a glimpse of supernatural. I thought this was leaning toward a mystery/supernatural buddy-cop drama with some romance undertones. I was hoping this would be similar to Hotel del Luna but a bit more grounded, but we are once again left with petty family drama and fluffy romance with an inevitable breakup/makeup in the last 2 episodes. They had the ingredients! They had the recipe! And the final dish is... disappointment.

The white truck-sunbenim I don't even want to talk about.... This guy seems to be booking every drama recently.

Enjoying this a lot more than I thought i would. The slow build up for fl and ml is great, especially how they…
As long as ML and SML dont go from BFFs to immortal enemies who sabotage each other constantly I support this triangle.

Review Dream to You
What you're saying is true, but I can't give you a pass because your rating is way too high
You are probably right, Yul Eum happens to be my weakness and I am a sucker for interesting cinematography so I might have a little been biased...

One part that I really don't get is how the FL family convinces major shareholders that she is a bad CEO. Her "scandals" are comical at best, and hasn't she been extremely successful as a CEO and growing the company year over year? Who's going to replace her? The other insanely incompetent family members? An outside-hire professional CEO? Why is the aftermath of her being pushed out not being considered by shareholders who mostly only care about shareholder value, which she seems to be raising?
Like, for example, I could see how Cha Se-gye (from My Royal Nemesis) would be a terrible company representative in basicaly any capacity, so it makes sense that he would be pushed out of the company and there would be major shareholders who wouldn't want him involved in the business, but I just struggle to see any sort of sense for Yeo Ri given that her image is not even that bad. She is considered strange/weird at most by the general public and minor shareholders.
I get that there needs to be some evil forces or whatever, but I just wish that the writers had given us something more substantial than in-family fighting and an evil aunt or whatever.

Is it the first time a second male lead was this offended from FL's rejection that he wants to sabotage her everywhere.…
Unfortunately this is a classic SML plot device, I've seen it too many times. Hurting someone you supposedly love just because the didn't end up with you is just beyond me, but it seems like the poor SMLs are left no choice thanks to the writers.

I'm liking it so far. It's my first time seeing the FL actress, and I think she is wonderful here. The supporting cast is also great. Shout out to my "villainesses," Mrs. Yu and Lady Zuo; both are fantastic. Never seen those ladies give a bad performance.
For once, the ML is not an emperor or the Crown Prince, which I am very happy about. Apparently, the actor is getting hate for having bad posture and his mannerisms. He even had to apologize on SNS. Are we watching the same show? Isn't this guy supposed to be a salt smuggler? He is literally a rogue bandit... Where would he learn to keep proper posture? While fighting on the streets? Maybe during months-long smuggling runs? While never receiving any proper schooling or education of any kind? The reasoning for the hate escapes my understanding.

I like the drama so far; it's pretty fun, although I wish there was more supernatural stuff happening. And also, I think Park Eun Bin is the only modern K-Drama actress who never disappoints with her performance. My utmost respect to her for being this consistently good for so long.

Title Dream to You
First, the positives. The cinematography, framing and camera work almost feel like an MV at some points, which is actually quite refreshing, so I want to applaud the PDnim and DPnim and the entire production team for their hard work and unique style and for actually trying something different for once.

As for the plot, this series is a real mixed bag. It has a lot of dramatic elements clumped together. It seems as if every sad backstory trope you can think of, the ML and FL have experienced, yet they honestly just don't seem like people with pretty tragic pasts. Some of the performances don't land, and the drama is starting to drag towards the end. I am also just getting tired of all these reunions and second-chance romance plots. Seems like every other modern drama is following this template.

As many pointed out, SML and SFL have an interesting dynamic, but their screentime is literally like 5 mins per episode (it does increase later on, but at this point I'm checked out), yet it suffers a similar fate of becoming somewhat stagnant.

Overall, just struggling to empathize with any of the characters in this series, so this is just not for me.
