Gyeongse's wife seems to be a really complex character. Sometimes I dislike her for how stern and slightly mean she can be, but I also understand why she's like that. I enjoy watching her

I'm so happy for Minkyung & Seungyong <3 Especially since Minkyung was struggling a lot on the show because of her ex, and now she ended up with the happy ending instead of her ex in real life. They're kinda like another Haeeun x Hyunggyu. I hope they last for a long time

I didn't enjoy eps 3 & 4 as much as everyone else did, but ep 5 redeemed it for me. It's my favorite so far. I love how they're exploring the deep, complicated relationship that Dongman & Gyeongse have. They're both so similar, presenting themselves as confident complainers when they're just using that as a cover up to hide how insecure they are. I also like the newfound friendship formed between Dongman and Miran. My least favorite thing has to be the romance, i just can't get my head around it. But it's not a big deal, I'm enjoying most things about the show like the Euna-mother side plot, the 8 club dynamics, the brother. Can't wait to see how Dongman will grow and how his dynamics with his brother & others will develop

I watched this initially thinking it'd have a Night Has Come vibe with the students solving the mystery together, but it got wayy too gorey and i hate shaman spirit storylines a lot so i guess im dropping it 🤷‍♀️ if it stayed more with the students i would've kept going tis a shame

Agreed, I appreciate that we can see his depth and depression but in real life if i knew him I would definitely not be his friend

(Tw: opinion) Contrary to most of these comments here, I disliked eps 3-4 more than the first 2. I'm struggling to understand why Euna grew to like and defend Dongman so quickly. I would've preferred and understood if they grew their relationship at a slower pace. There are also 1 or 2 other things I'm personally not fond of story-wise which I feel slightly take away from the realism. But I'm curious to see how Dongman will grow and develop over the show, or if he'll even change at all.

This season is probably my fav out of the 5. Like Mina Sue's annoying, and I'm shocked at how she can behave that way knowing there are cameras recording everything, but she's great entertainment ngl. I also find Goeun's 3 love interests and that screentime way more interesting than whatever Sian had going on in s4 with her multiple love interests. I think the screentime is more balanced too, even with Goeun having so many men interested in her, she doesn't take up all the screentime like Sian did in s4. The cast for the most part is likeable too

the single's inferno panel is known to be more blunt in their commentaries compared to other dating show panelists where they'll do their best to remain neutral to not encourage hate to the participants

The way Mina Sue talks about the girls to other people, especially Mingee & Heesun, speaks volumes more than her supposedly 'sharing clothes' and 'being supportive'. She literally cannot keep their names out of her mouth and it's just not classy at all. The audacity for her to call herself cooler than everyone else when she's going around picking a different guy to flirt with every minute is crazy

SNU is the best and most known university in Korea for a reason, and they've proved it with this show. 3 consecutive wins despite being paired against the smartest students in multiple other universities. But kudos to SKKU too, their first entry into this show and they managed to beat everyone into the finals straight away despite being a lesser known uni and not one of SKY. Loved this season a lot, will defo be rewatching soon

This is kind of an irrelevant thing but it's soo nice to have a team with 2 girls get into the finals, that's one of the reasons why I've been rooting for them. On one hand, it would be a shame if SNU wins another season, but on the other hand, this team lineup is too good. I would root for them no matter what uni they represented

There's more to academics than just maths. That's why it's good that there's more range because the players all individually have different strengths. Not all the players are maths-focused, so different games like memorization & spacial awareness test those different abilities too and let other players shine

Wow SNU medical was so satisfying to watch in that SNU deathmatch. They found an unbeatable strategy, and also a way to defend themselves if it was used against them

they can still bring in one or two international teams with that concept. it's just a little surprising since they've had intl teams for the last two seasons, but i kinda prefer it this way anyway

hm i wonder if they're gonna have a international school at all this season

I think the moment when Yeeun completely switched moods in her first date with Sangwon is what makes me not sympathize with her. They were getting along so well until then, and Sangwon just honestly expressed that he wanted to get to know other women too. It's their first date together and they're on a dating show that encourages that, so his words were perfectly fine for that situation. But Yeeun's expression and behavior switched completely after that. And that's clearly where they lost footing in building a possible relationship because Sangwon said he took that as she wasn't interested and moved on. She may have been able to keep having feelings for him but it's fair that such a jarring moment may not be enough for him. Sangwon just lost feelings for her and was only treating her respectfully from then on. Their little handshake didn't seem like he was giving her hope at all. I don't get the hate for Sangwon and the way the panelists treat him as a comedic failure because although he's a little stiff and awkward, he's truly just trying his best to follow his heart. And he's treating everyone as respectfully as possible.
