When I first read the synopsis I thought this would be a melodrama that’s very deep and sad with lots of angst. Any drama dealing with mental health issues would definitely have lots of that. Though it does have some of that, what surprised me was how funny it was. When the male leads (Ji Sung) 17 year old female personality (Yo Na) chases after the female leads (Hwang Jung Eum) brother (Park Seo Joon) it is super funny. I mean the male leads portrayal of a hormonal 17 year old girl that’s boy crazy is absolutely hilarious. I liked how this drama touched on sad subjects but then lightened the mood with really great comedy. And there’s more than just comedy. It’s a very action filled drama too so things never get boring. In the first 3 episodes they fight gangsters and blow up buildings. As the drama continues there’s kidnappings, fight scenes, and a character that likes to make bombs and blow things up for fun. The comedy and constant action kept this drama from being too deep and sad. It made it fun to watch with never a boring moment. And the romance is very sweet with real kisses which is always a bonus.
I don’t really have much bad to say about it except that the female leads voice is a bit too high pitched for me when she screams. In the first few episodes she does a lot of screaming and it’s really annoying. Thankfully she doesn’t scream as much in the later episodes. But her crying scenes are a bit loud and go on for too long in the last few episodes. But overall she did a great job on her acting. And Ji Sung did the best acting of his career in this drama. I don’t normally rewatch dramas but I’ve rewatched this one twice. The story and acting is absolutely amazing.
