Not sure if i read it wrongly, but the young XH was bitterly beating the drum outside, yet his imaginary scene more relaxed in the cell, any idea why so? Was it because XFF was sharing the load and it became lighter?
I really like how XH always met XFF in her "pathetic" state... and this time he just quietly sat in the cell. Even though he perhaps had ocd, (seriously and yet loan undergarment???), he sat there comfortably - closed his eyes!!!, and just wanted her to know he is with her. That quiet comfort speaks volumes... or perhaps he too was having his emotionally breakdown and needed the fortress that is found in her - or she was the strength her mum had but gone too soon... memories of his parents would have hurt him deep down, he had his own revenge not many knew, buried in his heart. And he was tired out all these years, just as she is tired out by assuming another life, by taking on revenge for real JY and her own... both were tired and worn out... both found solace and comfort in each other... quietly just for the few minutes, just the both of them alone.
To be honest - i am waiting for the day when XFF and XH can verbally be honest with each honest on the past... yups they are smart enough to guess, but i would like to see that coz it shows the extent of complete trust then. Being completely vulnerable to each other. Hopefully this day will come.
