ML is not a rich ceo with cold personality, childhood trauma. FL is not a candy girl who wait for some knight in shining armour to save her. They didn't meet as child. so most kdrama fans didn't like it
ML is a divorcee alcoholic hobo and FL runs a shady newspaper business, they both commit all kind of crimes under the sun, they don't do it for fun or justice. There are no quirky characters like hacker ajumma, mary sue side kick ect.
Antagonist is a supernatural being. he defy physics, time, space, can appear at multiple places at once, becomes invisible, able to move faster than light speed, has power to manipulate electricity, human shape electronic jamming device, able to manipulate matter on a molecular level and the list goes on.
If you plan to watch just think antagonist is some supernatural being and everything will make sense.
Remaining cast is dumber than bag of rocks, its plausible if the show is set on 1960s or movie.

I am all for not blaming the victim but she was a "leopards ate my face" case. she was some random gold digger who tries to take advantage of his popularity, she willingly went with him knowing his "reputation". She tried to kill everyone out of her own guilt rather that what he did to her.
in the end she couldn't even go to police, reporter or post anonymously on SNS because she knows that she will also goes jail for solicitation.

Story and character traits disappeared, sudden romance, lot of continuous shot of actor/actress walking/standing/looking at the sky ect for no reason. Cunning and powerful judge became single cell organism.
Court/law scenes are cringe. people fighting inside the court room over hour but not a single cop showed up, hitman and human trafficking handler plead guilty for assassination of sitting mayor at open court because his mom might disappointed at him 🙄.

FL family is seamless parasitic leechers until the last episode, when they kicked out of the family they go to the orphan girl (she spend her entire life saving to get that place after living as homeless person for many years) and lives off her, they fight in her shop and made customers leave, made her house looks like a pig sty because of the all the screeching and mudslinging fight. ML could be a antagonist and very bad person compared to him because he spend 8 long years obsessing over someone who doesn't even like him and firmly rejected him multiple times, most people would get a restraining order in these scenario.
The scene where he forcefully grabbed the sister's hand make her eat dinner with him was really disturbing made him looks worse then the husband.

Not sure why people keeps says justice is served or happy ending.
