A brilliantly unconventional & blunt trauma surgeon with a mysterious past takes over a struggling emergency department despite a myriad of protests from fellow department leaders. He recruits a rookie to be his protege (though said young doctor isn’t so sure he wasn’t to switch departments…) Along with a fierce nurse & a coolheaded anesthesiologist this newly formed trauma team tackles numerous cases while navigating the endless battle of hospital politics.

Oh.My.Gosh - I am kicking myself for not watching this sooner!! This action packed medical-comedy doesn’t take itself too seriously, leading to some unrealistic but hilarious scenarios even while shedding light on some very real-life issues within the medical world (example: patients dy!ng due to treatment costs).

In a humorous way, this gave a great comparison between doctors who are more concerned with their status in society & our heroes of the story who are solely focused on every patient with fierce determination & genuine dedication. The world desperately needs more doctors who see the patient in front of them as someone worthy of their help rather than letting dollar signs decide who gets treated!

I’m looking forward to seeing what seasons 2 & 3 hold in store for this team! Hoping Netflix releases them in the not-too distant future 🤞🏻
