Too bad there not a proper good quality version with subs, the one that is out there it's a not great quality version from Singapore channel? with eng subs but not great audio and has the episodes edited into 122 episodes of 40-50 m. instead of the 167 30m. per episode. Still a pretty enjoyable daily, it stays mostly funny with some melo and cliches thrown in but overall a light watch with no super evil characters, not annoying/bitchy SFL trying to get the ML, the rich sister and mother were annoying in the beggining they get better as the story goes on but were fun to watch too, not rushed happy ending, everything ended properly.

Title Golden Bride
One of the few dramas were the couple stays true to each other from beggining to end, no dumb break ups, I kept wondering when a separation it was going to happen since is a very long drama and well many other dramas do it but it never came and I was glad. Nice but not boring/flat male lead (not a creep like the comment below says I don't know what was that?) I like the FL, I know the she can be a bit annoying sometimes for some people specially in the beggining but I like that as the drama progresses we can see her growth (it takes sometime and many tears though) and wanted to find something to do professionally besides being a supportive wife. However got to understand this is a drama from 2007, so any stereotypes about her being mix Vietname/Korean, growing up poor, not knowing much about modern Korea lifestyle and some of her comments about herself better be left alone, sadly a lot Koreans still have very outdated views about A LOT of things even today and obviously the writer reflects that in 2007 specially. I still love it though minus the supporting couples didn't care for them though I did like them as characters, I just didn't care for their love lives, but the main family was nice and supportive specially the FL's In-Laws.

Shishi is finally back since 2017, I know she had 2 modern ones released in 2020, but she always shines best in these kinds of dramas, I guess now that she's been married a few years and her son is bit older she can spend longer time filming historical/period shows which can take up to 6 months of filming compare to modern ones that take less time, anyways I can't wait to start watching.

Does anyone know where can I watch complete 78 episodes?
I recommend to watch it Viki and they have the best subs for it too, but it's the 73 ep version which it's exactly the same as the 78 ep version just different episode running time.

So far this drama is interesting and visually pleasing. A very smart no non sense female lead. And it’s so funny.…
I knew this was going to happen because i noticed the ratings for dramas always drop 2-3 numbers when they joined the ranking list which this drama was not on before because it's new and doesn't have a lot of votes, I'm sure the ratings will continue to go up again once more viewers vote and specially after the dramas is over. I still don't know why this is but always seems to happen or mostly or it's just annoying viwers who who don't like the age gap and the male being over 40+, so imature but it happens a lot in here.

Most of those drama/films are not confirmed though just rumors mostly fake, it happens all the time with C-actors where the press/fans just put their names to dramas that ended never being made or end up with totally different cast from what was first mention. Only The Legend of Shen Li is real since it was already filmed.

I can't believe some of the comments here some of you are acting as if the female was teenager, FSF should act with someone his age? she freaking 35! which is the same age as his ex-wife and co-star Zhao Liying and they have amazing chemistry, regardless how the FL acts in the drama she is not a teenager in real life so stop it with the whole creepy stuff. Why does it matter what the age gap is between the actors in real life or how old they are, very often actors don't play their ages in dramas and as long there is chemistry it shouldn't matter although chemistry can be depend on the viewer.

I prefere mature looking actors in historical dramas regarless whether they 30, 35 or 42 or older, sometimes I'm interested in some dramas and then check how old actors are since I'm still unfamiliar with new/younger C-dramas actors and they looks so boyish even if some of the have been acting for a handfull of years I still don't know them and so many times they are like 20-25 year old or kind thin looking even if they are like almost 30 they look like teens or pop group idols which is not what I usually like in an actors with some exceptions and sometimes they just don't look right for some roles in historical dramas and so I get turn off as a viewer, I will probally watch them eventually if I've I see the young actors in modern dramas and ended up liking them but I'm less excited plus acting seems questionable often. I tend to prefer C-drama actors like FSF, Chen Kun, Wallace Chung or Huo, Lu Yi, Hu Ge, Jing Dong and countless others who are not necessarily old they just have stronger or mature good looks for me, is just my preference and I think they just better actors too. So for those who are here just complaining about ages of the actors or how they act in the drama, don't watch if it bothers so much. What is with people nowadays getting so freak out about age gaps even if it's like 8 years or actors over 40? with younger co-stars, being 40 don't make man creepy and unattractive all of the sudden.

What happened? now the rating is 8.8 and drop big in the ranking too all of the sudden. I hope it's a glitch and not people trying to downgrade it because other C-dramas are also now getting 8.9-9.0 ratings and want to put out of the highest C- dramas.

How is there not a single mv of these two on youtube? One of the best couples of all time, both so competent and…
I also don't understand why there isn't a single mv of them, there used to be one which was really nice but was only for like the first 50 eps. of the drama and then got deleted.

Still the best adaptation, Ariel's perfomance actually made me smile even with the dumb moments, in the japanese version I thought the FL was cute and kind of funny at first but then I just find her annoying and the ML in that version was kind of creepy to me I don't know if it was the actor's perfomance or the direction, but I didn't like it, too robotic. This still the best version of ML for me or just the one I prefer, he was just more expressive specially in the sequel but even in this version I love all the hidden smiles and his uncontrollable laughter in a scene, he was still serious but not too icy and was way more affection even before their wedding. Kudos to Ariel and Joe because their acting and chemistry felt more natural. My second favorite is the 1996 J version which I still wish it wasn't so short, the FL at times was unbearable but I still like the ML version in that version way more than the J remake and the Korean version.

I really have to re-watch this soon, one of my favorites, pretty light with funny and moving family moments and cute romance which begans during the second half so it was kind of slow-burning and I actually loved that. Too bad S.Korea is no longer doing sitcoms like this, this was of one the last great ones before the long sitcoms format was canceled due low ratings.

What? this was rated 8.1-2 for years and all over the sudden it drop to 7.8 and it's not even a new drama were it makes sense for the rating to drop slowly after the drama finishes. I can only think of a reason but don't want to say it because it's just get annoyed thinking about it.

So glad this came out in 2018, all this over the top cersorship with C- dramas nowadays is killing chinese historical dramas including this dumb 40 ep. limit rule and cutting of so many scenes along with bad editing. Not all stories are the same, some should be longer and told sowly, I cannot imagine this drama being 40 episodes or even 50 for that matter.

Since her upcoming drama is not happening anymore I really hope she does a rom-com next since she said she would like to that next and I hope its not an icy/cold characters again, I love her but I have enough of her with serious characters,I don't want an inmature/silly one but just like a funny/eccentric 40 something year old character and with a mature looking male lead, not noona romance with a male lead who looks 25.

Just watched it for the secondary couple who is really cute one of favorite big age gap OTP's, the rest with the SFL's sister's noona romance was boring to me and like every family drama the stories are link and has family drama cliches but I didn't care since my couple go to their happy ending and they were more entertaining than the first one, but I still don't think this drama deserves 6.8, I don't think it's that bad, I've seen some Family Dramas rated 7.9-8.3 in here which I don't think deserve that rating, while others that I loved are like 7.4-7.6 rating range, this one probaly deserves 7.5 mostly for the Secondary Couple.

So dumb to cut a 16 ep. drama into two parts, I might get it if the season 2 hasn't been filmed yet and comes out a year from now and there is more stories with new characters like with American/Western shows but the whole drama was already filmed with the same cast and it's the same storyline, it shouldn't even be called Season 2 but just The Glory Part 2 at least, it makes no sense. Can't wait for March 10, but I'm afraid my excitement might diminish since I'm not used to see Korean dramas this way I mostly binged watch or sometimes watch live as the drama airs until it's over, this whole just cutting the story in the middle it's just weird for me.

Seriously where has these actor been in all my Korean drama life ? but then again I don't really watch newer K-dramas where he seems to had appeared the most. Still I can believe I haven't see him anything until The Glory, he is soo good in it and I'm so curious about his character and what he's going to do? and his chemistry with SHK is amazing just the way he looks at her, but sadly it might go nowhere based on the story and like usual I prefer the older handsome actor over the young cute guy for the FL, in which case I need to see him a romantic storyline in something else, hopefully.

Person Song Hye Kyo Spoiler
So sick and tired of SHK receiving hateful comments mostly by K-netizens (some international fans of her ex too) even after her ex's dating news, I thought once he was in another relantionship they would leave her alone at least a bit but no they still managed to slut-shaming her, calling her names, blaming her for the divorce (as if they knew what happen between them), that she wasn't liked by ex's parents because of her past "scandals" etc. and they are also saying that now with his new girlfriend's alleged past his parents must be losing their mind by their son's choice for woman again. I was never a fan of her ex and didn't like him for her but he seem nice and it was her choice, though I had a bad feeling about the relantionship for some reason and sadly was not suprise about the divorce. I just didn't felt he was right for her or her for him actually (again just a feeling I had), everything happened so fast, like he really seem to rushed everything and after the divorce I like him even less, all that hate she got and he didn't seem to care. I've seen other actors defending their ex's of accusations of cheating or other things after a break up, because at the end of the the day even if they were not longer in love they still care for the person they once loved and didn't want to hurt their reputation, but he stayed quiet and till this day some people still believe SHK cheated, but hey he can dated whoever likes I don't care but I wish people who would stop always linking them together, they are exes, both had move on and so should those haters.

I just don't understand the hate towards SHK, never will, so she dated 3 actors, so what?, or do they believe her other the dating rumors as well without any proof/confirmation and again so what? or is it the whole tax evation issue which was resolved years ago quietly, she paid everything she owned and the responsible person went to jail not her, but the information was release misteriously on the same week of the premiere of her then new film, kind of weird. I also get annoyed at people calling her cold/icy/boring just based on some pictures were she is not smiling which the press seems to mainly used as someone who's been a long time fan that's not not what I see/get from her, I see someone who can also smiles a lot, jokes, she loves traveling and have fun with her puppies, her staff, her friends/co-stars but she also seems shy/introvert at times and that's fine, does she need to be smiling/acting cutesy all the time? like some other K-celebs who seem nice/wholesome and those sometimes are the biggest fakes. Anyway I know many international fans love her, respect and support her and I'm so happy for the sucess and good reviews for her new drama.

I am not Korean, and I became big fan of K-drama only in the last 2 years, so I don't know a lot about this award.…
This award show is just for dramas that aired on the SBS channel, EAW is a cable/netflix drama, all networks do their own awards ceremonies and then they are lots of other awards dedicated to dramas for all network/web dramas and films.
